There are eight billion people on your planet. Resources low. So much poverty/starvation/crime/etc that are a result of too much population and low resources. Man with visions of populating another moon/planet to keep the species going "just in case" something happens on your planet to wipe it out. The world is reaching a stage again, but more than ever before (due to 8b pop.), where a grand war and/or cataclysm is around the corner, to wipe out a percentage of the human population. It's coming.

But, still, is your species worth saving? Look at it from my perspective, not your humanly one. What has the human race really achieved in its time under the sun to warrant continued survival? All the arts, sciences, technologies. The universe would be no worse off without them. Not even better off for them. Take technology....under the control of your human species, I see it as the advances are getting more and more negatively geared than positive things. You can see already it's making things worse -- internet, robotics, etc. Enslavement and horrible uses for it instead of good. So it's not like your technological advances have helped your case for continued survival. They haven't added anything to the betterment of life in your planet.

I am struggling to see a valid reason to fight for your continued survival, to defend your species as worth saving. Make a case for it here for me. In case there's something I've overlooked.

This is what I'd do

1. Establish a one world government

2. Destruct of all national identity and national pride

3. Destruct religion

4. Establish the ability to control each and every person through means of mind control

5. End all industrialization

6. Encourage, and eventually legalize the use of drugs

7. Depopulate large cities

8. Suppress all scientific development

9. Cause the death of 5 billion people

10. Take control of education

At least, that's what they want to do

Where your human race is headed is nowhere. Where is it even going? There's no valid reason to fight for its continued existence. Where is it TRYING/AIMING to even go? I fail to see what it's even trying/aiming to reach. The thing above you listed there....that would be an aim, an evolutionary step forward, but what's the point of that still? What is your species even trying to achieve when it achieves those goals you listed?

That's one hypothetical evolutionary step you proposed. What are the others? And you list them, and I'll still pinpoint the aimlessness and futility of that end-game still.

None of you can even vouch for your own species. The things you mention are aspects of your culture. But youre still looking at the trees not the forest. Your culture is your culture. You can take things out of them or put things into them (like the things you mentioned) but it's still your culture. Your culture is beside the point. I'm referring to the bigger picture, the forest. The universe would be no better off with your culture existing, your very species. It's not going anywhere. Where is it even going? You don't even know. It's just going round in a circle at best.

We should continue to exist just for the experience of it. Sexual pleasures, the thrill of learning new things, the excitement of seeing and tasting and inhaling interesting shit in a place far from our birth. Every hour is a new line in the story and it's the journey, not the destination, that matters in the here and now.

Realise that each human life is its own individual book gg, and many of us are worth reading long enough to stave off the apocalypse for at least one more hour...

I'm sick and tired of defending your species. Saving your souls. If I opt out, your species will be eradicated. In my absence will come nothingness. An astronomical pit will fill the skies and devour your planet.

And even the pit will be a new experience. Especially if its full of sinners;)

I'll try and lay this out in the most simple way possible

At the moment, the planet earth and mankind is a type 0 civilization. We get our energy from dead plants, oil, coal, etc. The steps I outlined above are what we need to do to reach a type 1 civilization.

Reaching type 1 civilization means that we will be able to harness all the energy available to man through the Earth. We will be able to control the weather, natural disasters, etc. The problem is, the Earth is very fragile at this point in time, it is in a transition to either type 1 civilization, or extinction, due to nuclear weapons, terrorism, etc. Hopefully in time, a type 1 civiliation will be reached.

Think of aliens. It is likely that the most common civilizations are type 0. Like us. With only a few of these races making it to type 1 civilization. If you looked throughout the universe, you would see the corpses of type 0 civilizations, extinct through nuclear war and such.

Moving forward to type 2 and 3 civilizations is what's crucial to mankind lasting. The ability to leave the planet and live galacticaly, think of the Empire in Star Wars, the ability to be on the move and not worrying about when our Sun will die and when we will run out of resources.

Nothing to do with religion. In fact, religion is one of things that's counting against you. A disgrace.

I only use the word because of its use as a means to categorise something, and nothing more. Hedonists, fellow travellers, sinners, party people, et ceteranians, it's all the same to me.

Your race is millions of light years away from reaching that end-game. It won't even get out of "type 0" the way things are headed.

Keep pondering. Give me something to think about. I sit back, in ordinance with the rules, and observe, giving man the freedom to do as he does. It's up to you, not me. I can't help. I can only pull the plug on my time here.

Weren't you the guy who recently had absolute proof of the existence of God? How did that turn out?

If I can realise that life is totes amazeballs, you can too. Open another door. Go somewhere you haven't been before. Hitch a ride there if need be.
It's not really amazing, is the point. There's nothing really. You're all entrapped by it, exaggerating its amazingness. Looking at it from your perspective only it can seem so. But if you step outside it and look back at it, unattached to it, it's irrelevant, can do without it, nothing pulling you back to it.

No. 100 years at most till reaching type 1 civilization. Once you do that you are set. Scientists have figured this out, calculated it.

It's not about reaching the 'end-game', once you reach a type 1 civilization you are set. You just hope you that you (a) don't get eradicated by aliens or (b) run out of time and your sun dies, which we have plenty of time left to use for energy. Other than that it is simply a matter of time.

The Earth right now is at it's most important part in history. I hope to one day see the step taken to a type 1 civ in my lifetime. That's when you know humanity has made it. Either that or we will be wiped out by nukes.

God is not God as you understand it. It's real.

With every second you pull back from mundane reality, you increase your own ability to create your own happiness. You're the only one driving the car. You're the one throwing down the navigation markers.

Boredom just means you need to change the scenery. And the mindset.

You even understand that even if it could reach "type 1" it's still basically doomed by itself or some external cataclysm. Thus there's no point continuing it is there? Can your species even populate another planet in time before this one perishes -- either internally or externally? And if it does even populate another planet, what's the point? Can that new planet contingent even take the human species to "type 2"? It will just be beached there and having to start all over again like it did on the current planet. Round and round.
