I know Chugg and his family pretty well and he's a wonderful pick here. He didn't have the most consistent year but he has a huge scope to improve and arguably could be the best Tassie kid in this draft in a few years time (Easy to say when only one other one got drafted). Great work :thumbsu:

I'm ready and raring to hop on board ... the CHUGGA CHUGGA CHOO CHOO TRAIN!!!

Looks like he has high physical upside and can actually play.

His draft profile paints a picture that points to him potentially having the necessary tools to be a good pressure small forward as well as a small defender, so we'll have to wait and see which way he ends up going.

My first instinctive reaction when we picked him was that we might be viewing him as a quick, dangerous genuine small forward who has the ability to both impact the game defensively and hit the scoreboard, given that it's the one area we didn't really fill (evem McCreery at 186cm doesn't really fit that brief).

It's sad but he's got a good head on his shoulder and I think he'll keep his name in the conversation over the next few years, he's a smart kid with a dream
There is the option of the mid-season draft. But I saw great potential from the video I saw.

Love this selection. Exactly the type of player you want coming through your rookie program. Potentially high upside if he's prepared to do the work, and a strong 2-way runner.

I talked to this kid before, an elite bloke who is obviously crafty and talented. I joked about his last name down at a footy game before saying what kind of beer do you Chugg and he said vodka's which I instantly called him a wimp. Jokes aside. I'm looking forward to his progression for the years to come.

Ok so now we have two Isaacs, a Fin, Reef, Ollie and Liam. Wow I love it, great names to cheer out. IQ and Chugg 😂.
“IQ gets the ball at half back, takes off, flicks a handball to chugg, who pinpoints a pass to Ollie on the wing. Ollie looks up for a option and finds reef all out on his own, reef plays on as Fin makes a dummy lead and the ball goes into big “COX” Or we will probably just call everyone Macca except for chuggy of course. 😂

Likewise Collins and Davis.
Davis was the one I was most surprised about. Callow I get - I'd still draft him, but I get it - Davis while lacking weapons outside his hands, is just a premier inside ball winner. If he can be the see-ball get-ball player, I think he could easily suit up for a side. Hardly plays a bad game.

Collins I wasn't expecting to get drafted. Will be perfect for a 19YO slot because he had the ability to develop into something really impressive, but needs to iron out mistakes and decision making coming out of defensive 50. He can definitely get there though, not too dissimilar to Tom Langdon in his top-age year, then Langdon goes back improves his deficiencies and gets drafted the next year.
