His comments regarding Sydney player's body language reminds me of the year St Kilda drew with Collingwood. I remember seeing the Saints on TV walking back from recovery at the beach. They looked absolutely shot. They were never going to win the rematch.

We all felt a bit funny having Smith line up for us. He was worth it. Seems like he came and went in the blink of an eye.

Given one of the performances led to a crushing GF victory (against Sydney) and the other resulted in nothing more than a meek PF humiliation (also against Sydney), I know which performance I consider to be best.

And it's not close.

Leading possession getter and 3 goals - not a bad effort at all.

I personally would've rathered Danger get it for his brutal heroics in the middle, but happy for Smith.

Also felt like Blicavs was a bit of an unsung hero in that game. 23 touches and EIGHT tackles was a pretty beastly performance.

There were heroics everywhere in that game. Joel Selwood probably has the most 'fairytale' retirement the sport has ever seen. Carries junior's kid through the banner, kicks a last quarter freak goal, belts the swans and wins a premiership in his last game, embracing his best mate who he stayed with in a host-family home when they both came to the same club. That sort of shit NEVER happens in sports and I'll never not gush to anyone about it.
