Hate to rain on the parade but watched him in the SANFL for a couple of years but will struggle with his size. Has good skills but to compete often had to hold his opponents jumper and arms to compete in the air , may be a problem at afl level. Hope I am wrong
With the average size of AFL players increasing there will be a good opportunity for the smaller players to get success. They are harder to tackle without giving away a free, and are a point of difference.

This bloke is a 10. The Moore of this we get to see the more I want to watch us play.

Edit, only downside of the group the club are putting together is how we manage to fill their positions when playing the Indigenous All Stars game.

Why is he called Wombat ?
I am his buddy and while pumping him up in this thread I said this:

"Fellow BF poster's, the Fremantle football club once famous for having the tallest player in the AFL, have drafted Isaiah Dudley the shortest player in the AFL by the best part of an inch, but don't let his stature fool you, this wombat of the forward line is a hard bastard with silky skills!"

Some people started referring to him as such afterward, however after that post I heard Jamie Graham refer to one of our coaches as "Wombat" and have since tried to steer people from using that in favour of "Deadly" or "Duds".

This guys has Willie Rioli traits. Calm, dinky kicks that free up teammates and kicks goals under pressure as shown by his second yesterday. Not many of our forwards would be able to execute that but his pure footy skills made it look easy. As his fitness builds, we will see him impact the game for longer periods and I'm confident he will be a regular in our team for a long time to come! So nice to have someone in the team who knows how to kick a footy!

“Deadly” Dudley as a nickname is pretty bloody good.

wombat as are also one of the few animals which can flip a truck. their shoulder bones are extremely strong and shaped in a V. allowing them to essentially ramp something as big as a truck. thus truck drivers hate the idea of running over a wombat even more than a big boomer.

so i think the nickname suits him.

all hail the deadly wombat.

Amazing what happens when you have natural forwards in the forward line. I would play Freddy wing and keep Isaiah up forward. Not sure where that leaves switta. Perhaps he could provide some dash off half back

also to further the wombat metaphor. wombats are actually slowly spreading west across the nullabor. I know people think of the nullabor as a desolate place but there is actually regions where there are waterholes and caves,..etc. thus the mighty wombat is spreading further west. soon we may see the day where wombats wander all over WA.

our little wombat has come over from SA and i think every driver should watch out for him.

me in a lecture: i wonder how many good gif's involve wombats.
