With the average size of AFL players increasing there will be a good opportunity for the smaller players to get success. They are harder to tackle without giving away a free, and are a point of difference.Hate to rain on the parade but watched him in the SANFL for a couple of years but will struggle with his size. Has good skills but to compete often had to hold his opponents jumper and arms to compete in the air , may be a problem at afl level. Hope I am wrong
Switta wouldn't have kicked Dudley's second goal. He cannot kick that far. Please please please leave him in JLO.

Why is he called Wombat ?
Here I was thinking he does square poosShort and stocky, burrows into packs
I am his buddy and while pumping him up in this thread I said this:Why is he called Wombat ?
“Deadly” Dudley as a nickname is pretty bloody good.I am his buddy and while pumping him up in this thread I said this:
"Fellow BF poster's, the Fremantle football club once famous for having the tallest player in the AFL, have drafted Isaiah Dudley the shortest player in the AFL by the best part of an inch, but don't let his stature fool you, this wombat of the forward line is a hard bastard with silky skills!"
Some people started referring to him as such afterward, however after that post I heard Jamie Graham refer to one of our coaches as "Wombat" and have since tried to steer people from using that in favour of "Deadly" or "Duds".
Cant they both be wombats ?I am his buddy and while pumping him up in this thread I said this:

I remember hearing something similar about Sonny at the start of his career.Did anyone else catch the comment in the commentary, "he is one of the most talented natural footballers we have seen, it just took him some time to piece it together".
