I wonder if they only offer these things to people who would never use it so it looks generous but they're not actually giving you anything you will use
No I don't think so as for many years I was only on 50 and they upgraded to 200 for an extra $5 per month, I also get discount ($10 per month each)on both phone and landline plan. So really once they gave the discount on the internet plan, really didn't cost me.
Then again I have been with them forever.

Was never able to convince my daughter to switch but last year when Telstra had all the problems, she switched and is saving $600 a year for 4 mobiles, landline and unlimited internet.
 
That is Nice but I found there Speeds have been up and down and mostly down



200gb is a Fair Bit but I could probably get thru 200gb's.

I have Unlimited Data plan fro Optus

Australian ISP business model is based on the average user not getting anywhere near the usage they pay for. Most will cut you off if you consistently get to or over your limit citing a "fair use" policy of some kind.
