Mid East Israel attacks Iran. What are the likely consequences? How will it be resolved?

Just putting this here for ZEV. Another example of an "accident" from the military force that can apparently put a missile through a single window hundreds of kilometres away but has "malfunctions" when shooting at their next door neighbour.

Worth noting that my previous post about this topic hasn't received a reply yet...

This literally took 15 seconds on Google to find...

Or this

And then there's attacking the homes of Doctors (though I'm sure you'll counter by saying that's not a hospital).

And good on you for posting a report that is primarily based on an assessment of an investigation led by "an experienced retired IDF Major General". Even if we put that to one side, your defence is that it was a "tragic misidentification error", which again warrants the question, if the IDF can hit a building in another country with absolute precision, how on earth can a "tragic misidentification" occur?

I look forward to further justifications.

Maybe read your sources instead of just headlines. You might learn something.

Let's have a look at the second hospital attack you claim....

That is the extent of the damage. A few tarps. Outside the hospital. Couldn't even find a photo worse than this.

Being a medical professional does not prevent you or protect you from being a terrorist or repurcussions.

What were your military targets frequenting hospitals for?

I'm not sure that highlighting an equipment failure made by a government supplier that is most likely the lowest cost option is meant to point out to me.

You asked for examples of hospitals being hit, and that's exactly what you were provided.

Now you've moved to "well they shouldn't be hiding in hospitals anyway" and "they weren't that badly hit". Where will the goalposts end up next?

I imagine it would be challenging to come to terms with the cognitive dissonance of Israel of all nations perpetrating a Genocide.

Precise strikes outside a hospital are not a hospital being hit.

These are YOUR sources.

This is a hospital being struck.

This is what YOU call a hospital being hit.

Airstrike or gust of wind?
Seems someone a convenient explanation though doesn't it. The IDF showing that they have absolute precision... except for when they don't.

Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back to "they didn't really hit hospitals".

It's not like it's new information. They've destroyed many hospitals.

From the evidence and source material provided by you.

Glad you can read and agree.
And in relation to these?

It's not like it's new information. They've destroyed many hospitals.

I guess you'll say that the Harvard paper isn't proof that hospitals were hit, because it only states that the bombs were dropped within damaging range of the hospitals, not actually on them?

He's typing frantically about the minutiae of whether or not this hospital or that hospital were targeted directly or indirectly since it allows him to avoid the uncomfortable truth that it's a genocide.

My inescapable conclusion has become that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people. Having grown up in a Zionist home, lived the first half of my life in Israel, served in the I.D.F. as a soldier and officer and spent most of my career researching and writing on war crimes and the Holocaust, this was a painful conclusion to reach, and one that I resisted as long as I could. But I have been teaching classes on genocide for a quarter of a century. I can recognize one when I see one.

Why is anyone arguing with a person who still denies that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza?

Clearly at this point in time, it is like arguing with Trump about the rights of immigrants in the US.

Israel’s bigger problem is that Iran can hit them where ever and when ever they like.

With an increasingly isolationist USA Israel are not going to be able to maintain security for long if they keep picking fights with every single neighbour.

Each battery of their air defence system costs $1bn.
The US only planned to build 12 this financial year.
How many they lost during the 12 day war, nobody wants to say.

They can't afford to continue firing $40k missiles to shoot down $5k rockets let alone losing $1bn pieces of military hardware.

The Israeli economy is on its knees.

But, Bibi has no choice but for the war to go on.

and he has significant majority support from the population for that to occur, it seems.

On top of that Israel suffered huge damage to energy infrastructure, huge damage to all sorts of military assets. And they now know Iran can hit whatever they want from Iran and the iron dome and other defence systems can do nothing to stop it.

Iran hit Israel hard.

The other thing that is going to hurt Israel is the exodus. There will be an huge exodus of capital and people and all that will be left is the ideologues.

Netanyahu is boiling the frog.

Jewish groups around the world are trying to raise cash like TV evangelicals - not sure how long they can pull that off in the face of the atrocities Israel is committing.

He has a choice, but it involves him facing court and justice.
