Not by race or religion but on national basis. If that didn't exist, we wouldn't have so many countries in the world now would we? Anything is a better alternative to the current status quo.

The concept of nationhood is obsolete and become increasing more so this century with increased education levels and greater racial and religious tolerance.

Give it 100 years and people will look back in shame at division by race or religious grounds

I don't have a lot of faith in governments as a general rule but on a comparative basis Israel is doing pretty well. Economically sound given the resources available and equality is excellent compared to its peers.

I'm not a big fan of any religion especially when mixed with government. Israel seems to get a tick with sufficient separation between church and state.

There are plenty of areas which need improvement and I'm sure you could list a few.

to achieve that we need to shift our mindset beyond protectionism and nationalism to allow poorer nations and people opportunities to participate.

Re the food - Palestinians receive more aid per capita than anyone, and a lot from Israel. If Hamas and Fatah confiscate it like they do with concrete (to build their terror tunnels) how is that Israels fault?
