Well with the earlier thread concerning England going for old fogies, which was a hoax but the number of peole that weren't sure shows the lack of available talent for England.
But there is young FAST bowler at Yorkshire whose just burst on the scene, now I've never seen him bowl but he's 23 & he's been out for a year or so with injury beacuse of his action & the fact that he launches himself into every ball.He's reconstructed his action to front on & according to reports he bowls every ball like it's his last,he bowls as quickly as he can every ball & follows through to give the batsman a serve & a stare pretty regularly.It would seem from what he says that he HATES batsmen.He's topping the 1st class averages with about 30 wickets at 11, his name is Steve Kirby.It's true he's undoubtably wild & maybe he's not ready for Test cricket & maybe a baptism against this Australian side could harm his confidence but what have we got to lose I'd throw him in & see how he goes but will the England selectors?I doubt it, they'll probably go for some medium pacer who they think might give them a few runs as well.(& of course he'll score bugger all runs)
