Skarsgaard is on absolute fire as Pennywise in this show.

Episode 1. Good acting from kids, well placed humour. That last scene was epic

If Bill Skarsgard doesn't win an Emmy for his Pennywise portrayal...

Just finished this and thought it was pretty good. My only issue was I feel like it could have been a movie instead of 8 1hr episodes. Same story tightened into a 2.5hr movie.

We don't need to establish over and over again that Pennywise scares you first and then kills you brutally while throwing in a few "I know you don't believe me" lines imo.

Thought the kid actors were all great and Skarsgard is unreal.

My main criticism is that it was a bit up and down. It's good was very good though.

My main criticism is the ridiculous sub-plot of the military coming in to harness and control this power. It made literally no sense and this was made even more ridiculous by the General just walking right up to Pennywise and telling him what to do. Just stupid.

However, given the nature of the story, I can let that stuff just slip away as the show is/was otherwise entertaining.

I thought the second half of the season was a lot better than the first half.

I enjoyed it and was glad to leave until a binge. Sure there were some issues with the subplot that felt hastily put together which could have easily been replaced by a more conceivable plot device.

Enjoyed the continued king theme that the locals were monsters also.

2nd half had it's great moments but there was too much focus on the adults which I couldn't care for. Fun series. Time to start the movies.

Upto ep 6, superior series to Stranger Things imo, much more into this, great series.
