Watched this on the weekend after seeing rave reviews everywhere and it had us in bits at times.
It's all about a group of gay friends in London in the 80s and how their group and community in general is wiped out by AIDS. The writing (the guy who did Queer and Folk and Dr Who from 2005 onwards) is the main writer and is largely autobiographical. To think that for a while there gay people were dying and they didn't know what was the actual cause. It must have been terrifying.
Brilliant acting too. Just could have been longer than 5 episodes.
