I'm getting a little bit frustrated by current AFL players staging for frees. This has probably been the topic of thousand of posts before but I'm new to this and just wanna get this off my chest, maybe someone will let me know how often this has been brought up before.
Cases in point: Birdman Burton was 'knocked out' on the weekend by a fair bump, Though he was dead for a split second, thats all the time I had to think that because the fairy was jumping out of his skin the second he heard the umps whistle.
Brad Johnston started a lot of 'push and shove' when he faked being hurt the other week at Telsra Dome i think it was. Now, what's a worse blight on the game, grown men pushing each other in the heat of the contest or grown men behaving like little cheats. Didnt we want to play Footy because it wasnt a soft game like soccer, didnt we used to all laugh when we saw a soccer player rolling around on the ground 'cheating'? Say things like 'oh what a silly game, he's not really hurt' 'Get up you wuss' or 'you wouldnt see Real Footy players doing that' I'm seeing way to much of this these days. But rarely from onballers, the real football players that still play the game, not play the umpire, usually flankers or forwards.
What do you think?
