Not me.. Couldnt give a rats.

He will be gone at the end of the year.

Richmond fans know his biggest contribution was to stab knights in the back.

He will be remembered for this more than anything else. A big tarnish on an otherwise unexceptional career.

how could you rate him ahead of the likes of Benny Gale , even Matt Rogers just to name a couple...Leon Cameron...geez I could go on and on

Maybe I was a little desperate to get somebody from mid to late eighties in there.

I was reeling off some of our luminaries from that era the other day to a Richmond pal and Wilson was the only name that came up that didnt have us laughing. On that criteria he has to be the representative.

It was so bad back then that I used to buy both the Sunday press and the other Sunday Paper if we won just so i could read about it twice.

Ill hold on to whatever scrimpet of excitement there was in that era.

If Willo is the only offering then please dont take scraps from a peasant.

Dont tell me you were not upset that he left and didnt continue at Richmond.

Im not sure about his selfishness when it came to money but he was a player who could excite. We haven't had many of those.

I remember when we first played WCE and Richmond fans really got into him ("I Always hated you Wilson") so I knew I would be challenged on him.

BTW Ill add Michael Mitchell in the list.
I`ll give you Michael Mitchell , he could have been anything that boy , but PW , for mine , he epitomises the Nickname " Showbags " , schit hot and shiny on the outside and full of schit underneath

I'm going to stick up for 1980GFV.

Wilson had his moments. Not a great player, but in the team we had in those days, he and Mitch could do something every game that made it worth turning up.

Not good players by any measure.

Wilson at least was a bit of rough nut. He had a hot head and a bit of Micky Malthouse in him. I saw him give off a few decent elbows, back in the days footy was played by men, not by po ofs like Campbell

Good Call 1980. Those guys didnt make our legends list by a long way but gave us some reason to look forward to going to the football.

I think we were so bad back then that Michael Pickering was almost made captain.

Can someone confirm that???

It was such a bad era that I dont want to think hard about it.

I started drinking in the late eighties, not sure if it was due to being old enough to walk in a pub or because of the duds we had running around for us back then.
