We could of got blown away but the exact opposite we pushed them to the end. WEST COAST ARE BACK IN TOWN WOOP WOOP

good young list who are playing for each other. looked very good today, and whilst you may be just a shade below the pies and the cats at the minute, probably wont be long before your in another GF. how serious was cox's back anyone know?

Yep, despite the loss was very proud of the teams grit today. Could have been blown off the park after half time without Cox. Instead they were still in it until the last minutes of the game.

This is not a "Docker" like let off for them though. They MUST win next week for the finals to be considered a positive and I will be very disappointed if they cant do that next week.

Congrats guys.

You didn't win today but damn have you come a long way. Your young guys really stand up when I thought that may have been an issue for you.

Expect to see you guys make the prelim and who knows from there ... you did beat Geelong when you played them last time and I think today you proved you're capable of playing in Melbourne.

Good luck next week.

I'm not that devasted hey. I'm proud of the boys. I know the Pies had some players missing but Rosa and Kerr make a difference in the squad, not to mention Cox being subbed off. I'm so pleased with their efforts in the last quarter, i thought we we're going to get smashed but hey 20 points is an honorable lost against Collingwood. We have a good spine coming through... With those young guys getting finals experience... Just think- Masten, Gaff, Shuey, Scooter, Ebert, Darling and Naita... Fast forward to a couple of years and we will be a strong outfit. Exciting times ahead! :D

We are certainly not 'back' on today's efforts.

Today proved that we learned absolutely nothing from the last time we played Collingwood. We continually bombed the ball long inside 50 with no purpose or structure.

Shaw, Davis & O'Brien had 93 disposals between them. Nicoski, Ebert & LeCras had 37.

Our intensity was great in the first quarter and we showed character to fight back in the last, but we went missing in the hour of football in between.

FYI, Priddis, Lynch, Waters, A Selwood, Butler, Hurn, LeCras, Embley, Cox, Glass & Nicoski all have previous finals experience. Glass & Hurn can hold their heads high and Lynch had a go, but the others were pretty disappointing.

YES! We lost but a very good effort for a final against the premiers. I'm so proud, the comeback was amazing. I was screaming and jumping around and yes I'm a teeny bit intoxicated :D

Yeah, a lot of people thought we would get blown out of the water, but we showed a bit and will be better for it.

Obviously dissapointed with the loss. A lot of players were down and we basically only had a fit Cox for a qtr where he was superb. A fit Cox, Kerr and Rosa would have been nice. Our brightest lights were MacKenzie, Glass, Hurn, Lynch, Butler, and McGinnity (was good as sub). We need to be a bit smarter with the ball too i.e. Priddis playing on when he could of had a set shot and getting into trouble, taking too much on in Lecca and Shuey (although the commentators annoying harped on about him, he wasnt that bad). Misses to Kennedy (playing on and running around + the high tackle free he got), Shuey and S.Selwood in the last cost us badly.

But I think it was the way we play Collingwood that lets us down the most. We tend to fall a bombing long in hope trend which falls unstuck every time when you have Harry O and Maxwell and even Pendlebury at times floating through. It is very frustrating. We MUST hit up leads and look for 1-on-1's against Collingwood; that would have been a better way of exposing their backline today.

I'm a lot more happy than if we had of given up and got blown out of the water, great fight. Not to take anything away from it though, of our 6 losses this year, I count Hathorn Essendon Sydney St Kilda and this game as games where we fought and could have won. I know we're a young group, but I'm already tired of being satisfied with effort rather than results. It sounds harsher than I mean it when I'm reading this, and not to take aything away from today (which I think is probably up there with Carlton and Geelong games this year as moments that put us back on the radar) but I don't really want to hear effort next week, I want to hear win.

Very much this. A lot of our younger players were overawed and some of our seniors(Waters, Nicoski, A. Selwood) didn't have the greatest of games, but they never gave up and came back hard, that's the sort of thing that wins you premierships.

If Kerr and Cox are ok for the rest of the finals I give us a chance anywhere, against anyone.

Very disappointed that in such a big game, some of our key players went to water when put under pressure.

Priddis, Kennedy, Lecras, Emley, Nicoski and Shuey spring to mind.

Agreed.

As a collective effort over the entire season we have shown we are back, on todays effort we showed that there are some areas we really need to work on.

Nico and Embley especially were disappointing. LeCras was well beaten and made some bad errors but at least he tried to work up the ground and impact the game.

Pretty happy with how the team's come up this year.

But the boys were playing against 2 teams today - the ones in black and white stripes, and the ones in red...

Yep, all would want to lift for next week.

Each has played a critical role for us this season at stages, so if one or two have a down game it makes it tough. If most have a down game then winning becomes a incredibly difficult.
