Nice to see the record retained by the 1927-1930 group and for someone different to win for a change.

GWS v WBD will be a great view to the future next weekend.

That has a Chance of being a Ripper of a Game and Great to Watch with the Styles they both Play

I'm expecting a fun one stylistically. They're both strong contested ball winning teams and both are aggressive in their ball movement.

GWS at home will be hard to beat. But if Western Bulldogs can continue playing like they have these first two weeks of finals. We may have a game.

Clarkson having a crack at our 4-in-a-row during his press conference makes tonight even sweeter and even more important. Tried to down play our record by claiming that we lost 2 "preliminary finals" imagine the carry on had the hawks matched our record!

We actually lost 1 semi final and 1 preliminary final, but that was the system of the day. The challenge system was also changed due to concerns that the challenge holder wasn't taking semi finals seriously, because it allowed them to rest players and get another gate taking.

EDIT: If the same challenge final 4 system was in place today Hawthorn's most recent run of flags would have stopped at 2

Pretty clear looking at that.

The Machine wipes the Hawks like a dirty arse under any criteria. Bear in mind we didn't play a "home" final for any of our GF's either unlike the Hawks beating interstate MCG noobs in 2013-14-15.

Thank you Luke Beveridge for playing a part in keeping your Pa's 4-peat legacy uniquely Collingwood.

So glad the bulldogs won, couldn't stand seeing Hawthorn equaling our record and another year of the media hyping them up.

And a page from one of my favourite Collingwood books, this one's from online but I'll scan a better one tomorrow.

And the VFL match today a view of our future?
Ok, not really, but would be great to join that group of new competing sides

Watch Hawthorn lose 15,000 members next season.
Especially all the pets memberships.
Whilst the owners were crying in their beer...the pets were busy chasing their own tail & chewing on the Hawks slippers. Pets were happy to see the Dogs get up.

It was the double chance system of the day. So dumb.

Last year they relied on a double chance and they would have had to do the same this year if they had've got through
