Maybe getting a bit ahead of myself but it looks like there is a chance we can make the finals in 2021 as traditionally speaking a team needs 12 wins to probably make the finals and 13 wins to guarantee making the finals. We currently have 4 wins in 4 matches, meaning we need to win between 8 and 9 of our last 18 matches, meaning we only need to win 50% of our games from this point onwards to secure a place in the finals.

So, here is our run home

Round 5 vs GWS (SCG)
Round 6 vs Gold Coast (Met)
Round 7 vs Geelong (SCG)
Round 8 vs Melbourne (MCG)
Round 9 vs Collingwood (SCG)
Round 10 vs Fremantle (O)
Round 11 vs Carlton (SCG)
Round 12 vs St Kilda (Marv)
Round 13 vs Hawthorn (SCG)
Round 15 vs Port Adelaide (AO)
Round 16 vs West Coast (SCG)
Round 17 vs Bulldogs (Marv)
Round 18 vs GWS (GIANTS)
Round 19 vs Fremantle (SCG)
Round 20 vs Essendon (Marv)
Round 21 vs St Kilda (SCG)
Round 22 vs North Melbourne (Marv)
Round 23 vs Gold Coast (SCG)

So for my predictions going forward, I am going to go with

Round 5 vs GWS (SCG)
Round 6 vs Gold Coast (Met)

Round 7 vs Geelong (SCG)
Round 8 vs Melbourne (MCG)

Round 9 vs Collingwood (SCG)
Round 10 vs Fremantle (O)

Round 11 vs Carlton (SCG)
Round 12 vs St Kilda (Marv)

Round 13 vs Hawthorn (SCG)
Round 15 vs Port Adelaide (AO)
Round 16 vs West Coast (SCG)
Round 17 vs Bulldogs (Marv)
Round 18 vs GWS (GIANTS)

Round 19 vs Fremantle (SCG)
Round 20 vs Essendon (Marv)

Round 21 vs St Kilda (SCG)
Round 22 vs North Melbourne (Marv)
Round 23 vs Gold Coast (SCG)

Wins - 10
Losses - 8

Meaning we end up with 14 wins in total which pushes us comfortably into the finals.

What do you think? How many wins do you think we can get in those 18 games, and if the young players hit the wall, when do you think that will happen?

Yeiw that's it! Great thread. We are well in the hint for the top for at the moment. Looking forward to being able to mathematically rule out teams getting above us each week.

We are damn near a quarter way through the season it's worthy imo!

How am I the only non-jaded person here on the forum? I am ready to believe in the impossible :p
Look Runny, I am the most out there optimist on the face of the earth, the original glass half full all the time type and, to quote BT, boy oh boy am I ready to believe

BUT

I'm also a bit on the superstitious side.
We need to keep that lid firmly on the pot for another few weeks at least.

Some words should never be uttered publicly in case they anger the football gods.
To appease them you must repeat "One week at a time" one thousand times.
"One week at a time"
...
"One week at a time"

What a fun thread concept. Here are my predictions.

Round 5 vs GWS (SCG)
Round 6 vs Gold Coast (Met)
Round 7 vs Geelong (SCG)
Round 8 vs Melbourne (MCG)
Round 9 vs Collingwood (SCG)
Round 10 vs Fremantle (O)
Round 11 vs Carlton (SCG)
Round 12 vs St Kilda (Marv)
Round 13 vs Hawthorn (SCG)
Round 15 vs Port Adelaide (AO)
Round 16 vs West Coast (SCG)
Round 17 vs Bulldogs (Marv)
Round 18 vs GWS (GIANTS)
Round 19 vs Fremantle (SCG)
Round 20 vs Essendon (Marv)
Round 21 vs St Kilda (SCG)
Round 22 vs North Melbourne (Marv)
Round 23 vs Gold Coast (SCG)

Wins - 0
Losses - 18

Meaning we end up with 4 wins in total which nets us our first wooden spoon in 27 years because Bigfooty is all-powerful and penalises the early crow.
