Never mind the poor onfield results, stripping of draft picks and years of negligent management, the website hits are up, meaning all is well. If you deny this, you are just being negative.

Trigg continues to find new levels of incompetence.

Ok, so I just went to read that article....

Oh, that's fantastic - website hits, what a critical part of running a successful AFL Club.

Are you ******* kidding me?!
Pretty funny really. Certainly scraping the bottom of the barrel for positive news. But he's right, if we'd known that web site hits were up, the trifling matter of fines, draft picks etc would be of no consequence.

Probably time to close this thread spackler, let's all move on and start singing the praise of our glorious leader.

I would want my CEO and President to speak out against the ridiculous undermining of the club that exists in SA media.

Frankly, it disgusts me. I find I'm less interested in AFC everyday, and it's nothing to do with Trigg's mediocrity.

I would have fired Trigg. But I still want this club to succeed. The white anting that happens from the SA media - Rucci, Russell, Abernathy, Tredrea, Ginever - doesn't help Port but is can be absolutely damaging to the Crows.

Rucci is not your ally. You cheer him on, when he wants nothing so much as the devastation of the club you support.

Trigg has made errors that should have meant he was fired. He made those while trying to bring success to this club. Rucci wants the exact opposite.

Sadly, it really just shows how little 'positives' they actually have to show the fans.

I wonder how many of those hits include fans hoping to see some sort of announcement of change?

Some people still actually care about this clubs future AFC!

Are you asking what percentage of people that click through to AFC.com.au are there because they're hoping to stumble across some previously unannounced news of change in the clubs admin staff? Just going out of their way on the off chance there might be hot off the press news of change in human resources?

Most sa media are crows protectionists as they are ambassadors of afc. They dare not say a bad thing about the club as want to keep it matesy. There is no independent views on afc.

I don't find the port supporting media white anting afc. Tredders is balanced. Russell is just full of it at times. Giniver is just their rowey - does anyone take him seriously.

Rooch's agenda is to stir. He does this equally for port. Eg. Prior administration.

Kristof does have a point though. It does feel like a systematic approach by Port people in the media to attack the AFC at every opportunity. Anyone listen to Russells commentary yesterday. It was deplorably anti-AFC, actually really unprofessional. Lost count how many players that the AFC failed to recruit.

Unfortunately for us though, our own administration isn't helping matters.

You just hope the football gods come back to smile on this scum (again) when September comes.
Dwayne Russell has been like that for years. We all know that Port could have had Pavlich too but went with Adam Morgan instead, but all you hear out of Russell's mouth every time he commentates a Freo game is how Adelaide overlooked him in the draft. He used to always bring up that the Crows selected Dangerfield over hometown boy Ebert etc etc. There's been plenty of other jibes and backhanded compliments over the years, I actually can't stand him commentating our games at all.

Of course not. It's meant to be tongue in cheek. But I do frequent the AFC site very regularly. Why? Because I still take a keen interest in the club.

Its ridiculous to assume that website traffic is any sort of indication of club success or member satisfaction.

“Old news” and “reflective of on-field results,” they say. But on-field results have not improved - and member frustration with the club remains evident, particularly among former players who are plotting their “takeover” of the board.

More concerning for Trigg and Chapman is how this confidential report was leaked from within the Adelaide Football Club. The era of the singing canaries is back. Clearly someone with the bubble at West Lakes is not so positive nor upbeat.
So Roo wants to takeover and he's got people on the inside of the AFC leaking info to help him? Sounds like a damn spy movie.

It’s all negative,” Trigg said in the lead-up to Adelaide’s away clash with Fremantle.

“But wherever I go it is really positive - and I work with people who are motivated; I am surrounded by positive people all the time.”
Or yes men, perhaps...

There's no perhaps about it. Ask yourself who trigg would be talking to. Sponsors, corporate type members, the board and his employees. Sponsors pay for advertising and fringe benefits, similar to corporate members, wining/dining, access to players etc. the board are in it with him up to their eyeballs, there's no point in them saying anything negative because triggy owns them at present. And I'm sure his staff are all very positive, they've seen what happens to highly skilled agitators when Rendell was sacked, "yes mr trigg, going great guns mate, areas for improvement you ask, nothing sir, not a thing, maybe the footy dept could do a bit better eh".

He's happy to ignore a survey of 10% of the supporter base because he doesn't think that the average member is important. If you're not on the invite list you are irrelevant to triggy.

This will continue to happen until there is new management in place, which then puts the club in the position of being able to say that was then, this is now, it's a new start, time to move on.

Until the people involved in causing this situation are gone they have no legitimate answer to the "negativity". All they can do is keep pointing to whatever positive indicators exist and crying about how mean people are to them when they're trying so hard..

Are you kidding? Seriously what? Half your problems are caused by the easy ride you have had from the SA media for the past 20 years. The only hope you have of improvement is a concerted campaign to oust the current leaders. Have you read the list of club ambassadors? It's like a who's who of SA media personalities.

What about when you watch Matt Crouch play?

What about when you watch them both play in four years?
Not sure if you realise this but the draft sanctions Trigg organised for us meant we didn't have a first or second round pick, hence we traded Bernie to get one. (the correct decision under the circumstances IMO)

So without Triggs involvement we WOULD have had Matt Crouch (plus 3 or 4 players of similar or better skill) playing alongside Bernie.

You Trigg lovers are so amusing thinking our sanctions are/were meaningless.

It's happening, maybe not a takeover but definitely muscling his way on to the board.
Hopefully, as Roo has AFC's best interests at heart - the same cannnot be said for many at AFC, wh have their own best interests at heart!
