I think it would be less a scheming by Rendell, more so just being the honest blabber mouth that he always has been.

Eg on 5AA he blurted out that they knew for two years that Tippett was leaving and that was why they'd recruited Jenkins. Sort of blew the AFC company line we were trotting out.

Yep.

Ill be honest, I am more concerned about Chapman than Trigg. Trigg took one for the team and personally I think its time we moved on. Chapman has been absolutely pathetic since this situation arose. Talked the talk but did absolutely fu@#$&g nothing.
In agreement.

Having Trigg suspended was bad enough, but I expected Chapman to step up and take control while we were without a public face of the Club's management.

He's been pathetic, at best, Smart no better, and we've given the impression of being a rudderless ship for the last six months.

Anyway, some sickening answers in this morning's interview. In particular that we (the fans) aren't going to get any honest answers as to what went on, as it serves no benefit for the football club to do so.
As a fully paid member of the Adelaide Football Club for the best part of 22 years, this is the part that makes me feel sick in the guts and not included in any decisions they make. Doesn't make us look very "inclusive', "uncompromising" or "proud" to make there members feel welcome. That's the part that looks like they have little respect for my value.

IMO, with the club not saying anything, is only a very strong admission of guilt. Guilt that they were the instigator in the contract and guilt that the board knew about it all along. This is the part that wreaks

And again, there were some "other things" that Rendell was sacked for that the public won't be privy to out of respect for Rendell. Yeah, right. Are Collingwood aware of these "other things" that made his position untenable I wonder?
the silence is deafening on this topic by not saying and I doubt they will ever say as no one will even question it now.

The blue rinse brigade are on fire on AA tonight.

Average age of the callers at least 60 who have zero clue how the modern AFL works.
Their is nothing wrong with that, if everyone who was a fully paid member had an even say in how the board was elected. I don't have a problem with the age but the fact the oppressive supporters don't get a say, sickens me.

I've never felt more disenfranchised, disrespected and disconnected as a supporter of the AFC.
Inclusive?

Not in the slightest.

Uncompromising?

About what? Protecting people whose cheating has harmed our Club?

Proud?

I'm not.

Just go away Trigg, go find another job and leave the Crows alone.

Nice wording when asked if he thinks he deserves a second chance
"There will be some who think I don't and many who think I do".

So we've all had enough of it, and just want to put it behind us... And those who want to know the truth are 'agitators,' - but telling us the truth would 'hurt the Club.'

Yea, right.

If I'd ****** up like he has, and somehow managed to keep my job, I wouldn't want people looking anywhere but to the future, either.

So by his own admission, he stuffed up the initial contract, stuffed up the rescinding of said contract clauses, costs the club multiple draft picks and still deserves his job? Oh, but he's learnt from it? Ok then, it's all good then.

Tippett was contracted for 2010 anyway. We didn't need to do anything. Could have just let it play out and work on the new contract throughout the next season.

It all came down to our B&F function on the Friday night, where Trigg/Craig wanted to be able to stand up and say that Tippett will NOT be going to Gold Coast as an uncontracted player at the end of 2010. Rousing cheers, Go Crows on three. It was our grand finale for 2009 - I'm sure this is the vision the club had. The perfect precursor for Neil's 2010 top four assault.
