Has there been any mention of:

The third party dodgy deals
Hypocrisy of Rendell sacking
Recruiting
Just asking him about Rendell now. Basically is, to talk about it would/could hurt Rendell, so he can't say anything and repeated the line about how him, Rendell and Essendon's CEO's are all different situations, so shouldn't be judged the same.

Of all the tiptoeing around that Trigg did in that interview, the point that concerned me the most was that he couldn't comment on how our club is going on the field because he'd seen HALF of our matches this year.

The reason? I've been travelling.

Don't mind that so much.

The less he has to do with the football side of things the better.

Boohoo, maybe I should have said the majority then.
That would be better.
The memberships of the oldies are still propping the club up. The young, know everything about footy brigade are just not picking up the slack.
Bit of respect for the Seniors sonny!

Yeah, not suggesting he needs to watch everything so he can pass on golden nuggests of information to Sando.

But I want my CEO to love the club so much he HAS to watch. FFS, most of us have been travelling and scouted an out-of-the-way pub or dodgy web connection so we can watch the game.

A few notes whist listening.

  • Tippett gate - not effecting the playing group and this seasons poor form. The negative people are the ones who use this as an excuse.
  • We may get an answer in time (and) the vast majority of Crows supporters have had enough and are ready to move on. The one who are not, are simply agitators.
  • No positives in regurgitating the facts surrounding the Tippett gate as its just litigious and will only do harm to the club.
  • Something about legal issues but I misses that part with his mumbling but at the moment, it won't come out. Maybe one day but not right now and not for a long time.
  • Makes no apologies for making the best decision for the club but categorically says this was a mistake.
  • His Port Adelaide Comments he made a few years ago were no fair to him as they were made at a Real Estate function and were only ever intended top help that club.
  • Matthew Rendell - not fair to drag that up again and things happen for a reason and it's best only people inside the club know.
  • Phil Harper was Stiffy mentor and that's why he was the only person from the club at his retirement press conference. Nothing sinister but the way Graham wanted it.
  • Adelaide Oval next on his agenda and is his number 1 priority.
  • License, reserves side and a new business plan to make a grater profit next year are high on his list of things to do but the Adelaide Oval is his number 1 priority.
  • Happy with Nigel Smart and Mark Colsen joining the leadership roles as it takes a few issues of his plate as it gives him and the board more support. He is delighted by those appointments.
  • Questions put to him: The club is sorry for what they did, not sorry for getting court. A bloody dumb thing to do and tried to fix it but did a dumb thing at that as well and couldn't fix it.
  • Over the next 12 months, some very positives changes will be seen around the club.

Not sure where I fit in the young/senior areas but I've not missed a home game all year so I'm picking up the slack!

Anyway this is off topic, joke of an interview there in the end.

o_O He had six months off FFS. You expected him to stay home and twiddle his thumbs?

Maybe one of the reason those old ducks calling in are so supportive is that they leave the games halfway through the last quarter and don't realise we've been losing!

I took it to mean that the only reason people would want to explore what happened any further, is because they wanted to hurt the Crows.
I also read into it that if he told the "truth" that Tippett, or someone connected to him (I assume Dad), would threaten to sue the Crows.

The real worry is that he's basically admitting that if the truth came out, it would hurt the Crows further

Agree. I have just listened to him spin on and give no decent answer. Way too much about what HE has learnt, how HE will be better for it etc.
F all about why the club is better off with him back.

To think we could have possibly had any one of Toumpas, Stringer, Macrae, Wines, Mayes, Vlastuin, Menzel, Jaksch, Lonergan......(Tippett Trade)

AND

....possibly any one of Grundy, Kennedy, Hrovat, O'Brien, Simpson Thurlow......(Tippett Trade/Upgrade)

AND

....possibly any one of Scharenberg, Dunstan, Sheed, Kelly, Gardiner, Billings, Bontempelli, Crouch etc...(2013 AFL draft)

PLUS two other 2nd round draft picks.

There's even a game I invented that you can play called 'Thank God For Trigg' (patent pending). All you have to do is choose three names from above (one from each section) and imagine them running around in a Crows' Guernsey.

I'll go first: Mayes / Grundy / Crouch

Gee it's great to have Trigg back!

Of late I've been sitting on the fence regarding whether or not I should renew my AFC membership in 2014. Regrettably, Trigg's return has made my decision very easy. The AFC will see not another dollar from me while Trigg and Chapman are around. It's sad that it's come to this but there's no other way to send a message to the club. Unfortunately I doubt that even this will send a message to them, as no matter what we do they will always spin it to their own advantage. Our increased membership this year was taken as an endorsement of Trigg, so I'm sure that any decline in membership this year would be attributed to poor onfield performance. I just can't bring myself to give my money to these people anymore. I now almost despise the club I once loved so much.

**** you Trigg, and **** you Chapman.

Ever heard of savings?
You were the one telling us how hard done by he was copping the 50,000 fine and not earing a wage for six months. Obviously didn't effect him too much if he could spend a lot of that time travelling around the world.

Of course that's assuming he wasn't getting a wage from the club which I don't believe for a second.
