Time for the old Blues Brothers to come out again.
One of the greatest movies of all time.

It's 108 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a packet of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it.

If Trigg is considering a path to the AFL administration, this clearly represents a conflict of interest with his role as CEO of the Crows. As it's been stated previously, Trigg has not been standing up to the AFL for years when the Crows have been handed various punishments/restrictions over the last several years. If this situation is not a cause for concern for Crows Members, I don't know what is. Clearly this is grounds for Trigg to stand down from any role at the Crows.

As there has been discussions about the Crows and Power becoming independent of the SANFL, is this bringing closer the possibility that the Crows will be run by the Members? Needs to happen now.
Maybe it's time to give Triggy a little bit of credit. I can't recall exactly how, but I reckon he managed to remove that particular conflict of interest a little while ago.

Finally got around to listening to the AA interview. Alot of it I didn't mind to be honest.

I still have massive issues with the decisions made and then the attempted cover-ups.. esp not trading Tippett at end of 2011.

However, if can pony up what he repeatedly says he owes the club then I can get past it.

The biggest issue for Triggy i reckon is the fact he does himself NO favours with putting the agnsty further off-side. If he could find a way to engage with those of us really pissed off about what happened, rather than being so dismissive and labelling us pathetic or agitators, then I think he wouldn't be hated so profoundly by some.

This is pretty much how I feel too, mate. I hate the part Trigg played in this terrible chapter in our history, but I'm willing to accept him being back if he puts in 200% and achieves something for our club. I just wish he didn't feel the need to pretend that he was hard done by, and I hate his attitude that anyone who is asking questions is looking to stir up trouble.

Yep.....He certainly possesses the attributes to spin his way with showing some reasonable care and attention to the 'disenchanted' among us. He either feels there could be nothing to gain, in that 'you won't change the attitudes of some people', or, that they are minority enough to be insignificant in the total AFC picture.

What is evident with Crows members passionate enough to invest and engage themselves in the fortunes of the club is that for some there is a festering tension within the AFC. A tension being fed by what is viewed as a diminishing success outcome for some years, causing many to regard the club as undistinguished in quality and character. A tension that can possibly only be redressed with the provision of proper membership values embodied in a stand alone club.

I also understood the 'cant say more as only hurts the club' is mostly about litigious issues. Not so much the information.

That is such a ridiculous cop-out. They should tell the truth to their members as promised, and if the Tippetts don't like it then tell them to bring it on - might actually get some of the disgruntled fans to rally around the club against a family that are hated by most already. Unless of course the truth only paints Trigg and the board in an even worse light...
