No one can understand their struggle.

Regardless of the type of employment obviously a level of performance is required from the vast majority of us so we can retain said employment, but now the club is stuck with Ivan Soldo due to a distinct lack of interest by the other clubs I'm hoping Josh Carr can somehow get the message through to him that he is expected to put in 100% regardless of whether he is chosen to play for the AFL team, or the Maggies.

The carrot works with some people and the stick with others (which is up to the coach to work out), but any decision on Soldo may come down to how he presents for preseason training, and if he can't convince Carr he is there for the right reasons it wouldn't be a great surprise if after only a few sessions the club pulls the pin on the bloke, and if that does eventuate hopefully there is a performance clause in his contract which would reduce the amount of the payout!

The club often doesn't do players favours by not explaining their absences. Soldo gets a lot of flack for missing the last 3 games because he wasn't on an injury list, so people assume he spat the dummy.

But he might genuinely have had lingering concussion symptoms or another injury, eg ankle. I remember Moss was forgotten for weeks if not months before the club added him to the injury list.

Seems to be the only option open to the club.

Having 3 competent rucks with the new centre bounce rule (what I think will lead to more knee injuries)

Probably isn't the worst thing

I look back on that trade period and there was a level of desperation that I hope we don't have to be too concerned about going forward.

If anything, we are getting a few free hits so that will be good.

With the hand we had it was always going to be pretty flat.
Next year it will be full on and very important for the development of the team going forward.

Lol knees are gonna be exploding on rucks again for sure.
Rubbish.

The rucks will only have 5m to run and jump, not the 20m like before they changed the rule from the start of 2005 season.

Within 2 seasons of the 10m centre circle being introduced the PCL injuries from centre bounces were eliminated and nearly all ruckmen jumped. The crossing the line and wrestling by nearly all ruckmen has only become a big thing the last 2 or 3 seasons.
