All Croats are E-van I believe. They're cousins.Is it I-van or E-van?
I know Ivan Maric got upset if you didn't use the Croatian pronunciation E-van. Heard him correct someone on the radio, as well as post game function when he played for th Magpies in the SANFL pre 2013 re-unification.
Gotta do a Les Murray and at least pronounce the persons name correctly.

Its all about now... Last thing Koch and Hinkley give a shit about is 3-4 years time... saving bacon now..later on can be someone elses problemMy concern is we’ve overpaid for him and further weakened our ability to build and strengthen our team in the future.
You are exhausting.Well two things to answer to this post
1.
Yeah sure, draft picks are somewhat overrated, you’re conceding known for unknown but the upshot is the upside potential of a draft pick.
A great example is the Polec trade. A known decent player for pick 11 which we later turned into pick 5 (rozee)
I suspect if we look at draft picks in that range there’s a fair chance it busts or produces a player of lower quality than Polec, but the flip side is sometimes it produces a player far better than that player.
In this case rozee.
2.
You have brought up this before. Draft picks are overrated
Sure, but the entire league overrates draft picks.
It doesn’t matter if diamonds are overpriced for what they are, or under priced for what they are, if the going rate for them is x , and you pay or sell for y, you made a dumb decision.
Why should port be the team to not get value for draft picks because they’re overrated?
Do you apply the same outgoing logic, since duursma is trading out, and draft picks are overrated should we expect a price far higher for him? Do you think we would get it?
Yea draft picks are somewhat overrated in the league, you’re buying hope / potential.
But that’s no reason for us to undervalue them ourselves in trades if other teams still hold the market for picks as worth a certain amount.
Might just be the long nights in the wank shed? You are exhausting.
49 and 50 are irrelevant, it's a 1 position swap in a part of the draft where you're probably getting the player you want on your draft board regardless. The trade in the tracker is 41 + 49 + F2 (Freo) + F4 (Port) for Soldo + 50.
So 2 second round picks + a 4th round essentially. Crazy that 41 is a second round pick.
But where does Troy Chaplin rate us?Richmond rates us higher than Fremantle. That’s nice I suppose.
Because they are gonna dice Lycett & Hayes I'd imagine. It's a trade that makes sense to do though given the type of player Soldo is for us, but I still don't understand why we'd bother with both him and Sweet. Time will tell with how it plays out.
This is my main concern. I personally think from a long term list management perspective Visentini has a high ceiling and would've been a good 2nd ruck behind a short term option. Then I would've left Hayes who is more than competitive as that backup break glass 3rd option.Dante could be looking at SANFL only for two years solid with these two coming in.
Done deal
They brought it forward to 2pm.I thought trades couldn't happen till 3pm?
Good get for you guys its a shame he did his ACL in 2020 as he was having a great season and just hasn't been able to get on the park consistently since then. I rate him more than Nank he is a decent mark in the F50 and a pretty good shot at goal but Nank offers more around the ground.
Shame to see him go as I reckon by end of 24 he would have been our first choice ruck but I guess with Samson Ryan in the wings who we want to play more in the ruck and Kozzie probably taking that 2nd forward / bit of time in the ruck role perhaps the big man saw the writing on the wall and you couldn't blame him for wanting to move to a great club that is in the window and be first choice ruck.
In regards to Lycett there is a bit of news around that Richmond are going to pick him up as a free agent for depth but I think we should stick clear of that can't see him offering much.
