I'm reasonably certain that Voss was hired on the recommendation of Hart.

Regardless of what happens with Kern, I would love to be as certain of winning x-lotto as I am that they will both get the sayonara as soon as their contracts are up.

Just watched Lade's press conference. Another display of loser mentality.

"We are looking for a good result....er sorry.....good showing this week against Collingwood."

"I wouldn't say this week is a must win game. There are still three matches to play.....we need one or two wins to make finals."

Is it any wonder our players don't win more than 1-2 in a row?

The language that comes from our coaches disgusts me. Apologetic losers the whole lot of them.
What do you expect? he spent 6 years as an assistant coach at Richmond under his mate Hardwick, did nothing, then came back home. Pretty comfy career.

Doesn't exactly scream talented coach or someone who enjoys a challenge.

So if you are applying that principle to Ratten, cant you apply the same for Hinkley?
I'm not sure. Didn't Ratten have some restrictions around his list or not?

From mine Hinkley had a budget to build a strong support team in the coaches box and in the fitness department. He's had 5 years to build his own list. He hasn't taken it to the next level.

Perhaps Ratten has had the same history, however shunned back to 21C perhaps he's had time to reflect on his mistakes.

He'd be worth a chat to absolutely. I'd be drilling him on what went wrong in the past and what would we do differently?

And look where Hart is at now. We should not have listened to his recommendation sigh.

IMO we either make Bassett head coach or he'll eventually be poached for the head gig at another club.

Personally I'd rather we hold onto him.
I still firmly believe KT is no fool, would he of ended up at Port other than the Norwood connection - doubt it very much, I'm sure if he is as good as what i've heard and especially what some players say they would surely have him in picture.

Funny thing is Ken is still coach!

Was looking good but you stuffed it up by putting in the last bit.

... Seriously our players do slip over quite a bit.
This is one thing that really annoys me.

I imagine that players wear short stops/cleats because they are more comfortable but FM, they're professional footballers so what is a little less comfort if it enables to do your job better?

I cant get behind the paywall but the head line doesn't look good:

“Ken Hinkley is contracted to the Port Adelaide Football Club for 2018. Full stop,” Koch told The Advertiser. “Repeat, full stop.”

There will be no hold, however, on Power midfield manager and former Brisbane coach Michael Voss if he becomes the third Port Adelaide assistant coach to be offered a senior appointment. This follows Alan Richardson (St Kilda) and the late Phil Walsh (Adelaide) being poached from Alberton.

“We understand a contract cannot hold an assistant coach when he is offered the better opportunity of being a senior coach,’ Koch said. “But no contracted senior coach can walk to another senior job.

“Ken Hinkley is contract to Port Adelaide for next season. Full stop."
