Personally I think this week will define Ken as a coach and if he has what it takes be be a premiership coach and if he deserves to be around long term.

Arguably these are the 2 worst losses since 2007 (they are certainly rift up their)

They've been labeled a disgrace they clearly arnt working hard enough.

So will Hinkley repeat what he did last year and gift lazy players games. Or will he grab some young git's and give them a chance, we've seen the effort they put in in NAB1.

Nope this week wont define Ken. We are at home , the boys are in their comfort zone. Not Giving In, NTUA will pump out and the adrenaline will be pumping to play the high octane/high energy/high risk game plan well, along with the extra adrenaline from the significance of ANZAC day/round and we the fans will drive them on. I predict a win or at the very least a hard grinding 4 quarter effort loss.

This game will only define Ken if we lose by 10 goals or more. For me the next away game, which I believe is Richmond at the G will do more to define Ken than Saturday night's game.

It funny you say this...

How flat would our players be playing in Canberra in front of 10k... coming from our crowd

That'll just prove they're mentally not up to it if they can't get up with out all of that.

Not giving in is now all but meaningless, they don't fight to win like they used to.

And I'm expecting NTUA to be very flat and unemotional, even the Essendon game didn't have the buzz that it used to.

It's certainly time to drop players after these two losses picking the same side just shouts that Ken is as mentally weak as what the players are.

From Kens comments about strength, we will not see a turnaround this year for mine.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have referred to the adrenaline rush our players get at home which helps them play the gameplan Ken wants them to. The first 5 minutes you could tell they were asleep and it was going to be a long day. As I said in another post we have all the pump up stuff and we Never Ever Give Up but at the away games there is nothing and We Never Ever Rock Up.

Last year mid season Ken started adding the phrase we have to Turn Up and Never Ever Give Up. Turn Up or Rock Up whatever the phrase we are not doing it at away games.

In 2011 we lost to Hawthorn by 28 goals and Collingwood by 23 goals in consecutive weeks but fought back to only lose by 10 goals to the Bulldogs the following week.

We also had another 12 goal loss to Collingwood, a 13 goal loss to Geelong and 10 goal losses to North, Carlton and Freo that year.

So a 14 goal loss to an up and coming team like GWS is bad but far from our worst loss since 2007.

You see the issue here, is that if we don't absolutely turn up and clap to NGI and belt out NTUA at the top of our lungs, then are we really any better than the players who don't turn up? I'll be there screaming my lungs out. I want to piss off all the Crows supporters and show them and our club that we care, we are not bandwagoners and we will be there and we will see the club through this. I don't want to return to the dark years and I will do everything in my power as a supporter to prevent that. And in respect to the Anzacs I will be there.

I am expecting a long long season of yo-yo or now ping pong performances of good at home but rat shit away from home. That is the signs of poor to average team. I bloody hope Im wrong but since that 4 pt loss to Sydney in Rd 13 2014 thats been our story apart from that 3 week finals campaign.

We where at the bottom then - now we are supposed to be a side that is in its premiership window.

When is the last time the Hawks and two thumpings in a three period like we have. That's what makes these losses so bad.

Same for me - just what I'm expecting.

Not our worst statistically, but we were rubbish in 2011 with very little talent, and those powerhouse teams smashed us and showed no mercy. Intially I thought like you, but from a practical p.o.v. I think these 2 have been worse considering the cattle on the field for both sides in these 4 games.

And that is why things need to change and we need some fresh faces into the side to compliment the guys like Hombsch and Pittard. Gray and Wines, Wingard.

We can't rely on these guys to win all our games by themselves.

NUFC, YES.
It's no excuse overall and certainly no excuse to put in performances like we have in R2 and R4, but gee whiz it reduces your margin for error in a highly competitive competition where the margin for error is already pretty tiny ...
Exactly. The two blowouts were horrid, but I'd like to see any other side do without three or four other players of commensurate standing/importance. Those that would point to Hawthorn with Roughead and Hodge double-down on that point. Thrice reigning premiers and almost (should've) got rolled by St Kilda.

He absolutely loved Walsh, what are you talking about?
Yeah I agree. Too many rumours and friend of a friend stories floating around at the moment.

I almost started a thread about it a couple days back. The game day thread had one poster suggesting there was a big split in the group ala late choco years because of a Dubai incident then failed to answer the 20 people asking what he was on about.

If people have useful information, be it positive or negative news then I'm all ears. This site has long been a good source of information from people in the know with good sources. Lately it's turned into people posting shit rumours to suit the tone of the week then shedding no light on the situation when queried further

I do remember when Voss came he spoke of the players needing to step up to the next stage and coach themselves on the field, like Hawks do and other experienced sides. I sometimes wonder if they tried to do that too soon with this group, and that coupled with the change in game plan has caused even more confusion. Grasping at straws, I know. I also think that perhaps we need to employ someone with teaching qualifications, like Clarko has, and Bolton, and I think maybe Walsh did too.

This upcoming month will define Hinkley. From memory we have Geelong at home, Richmond away, Carlton away and Brisbane at home. We have to at worst have get 3 wins in these 4 games. 2-2 out of them he's in trouble, anything worse then that I'd hate to see what this board and the media spotlight will be on him.

The problem with this group atm I can see them being up for the next 2, 1 at home as REH as stated repeatedly, we always get up for Richmond then drop the last 2.

I have faith we can quickly turn it around and possibly get all 4 but for me that's a minimum if we want to return to finals footy which atm is light years away.

We've never been Hawthorn and never will be with this crop of players the comparisons are stupid.
