I didn't think it would ever happen, but I honestly believe we are the best bet this weekend. I even give Gold Coast more chance of beating the Saints...

In past years I'd have been worried about this game, given the false dawns, but I have absolutely no concerns this week...

If we keep our intensity up - given Freo's MCG record - I think we'll win by 8 goals plus.

Big IF.

The way I see it, we're in the middle of an interesting set of challenges that, combined, will tell us where the club is.

We shocked by thrashing Hawthorn.
We then backed up and won a game that was always going to be close that we were slight underdogs for.

Now we have to win when we're favorites, but the opposition is still good enough to hurt us if we slacken off.
Then next week, we have the "easy" win against GWS, just before the bye, and we can't afford to start the break early (indeed, considering % is likely to be a big deal, ad we only play GWS?GC once each, we need to slaughter them).

We've passed the first 2 tests, if we win the next 2 then the future is looking good. Lose either of them, and we still have work to do in regard to consistancy and maturity.

On form and history - all signs point to us winning...

Though in footy, that just makes it all the more likely for an upset...

On paper and form, it should be Richmond by 40+ especially when you consider it's at the G. However footy never works like that and Lyon will be keen to have his team impress. Reckon this is a danger game and will be a tight low scoring contest with both teams under 100 points. My tip is Richmond by 15 with a few late goals to just pull away after an arm wrestle.

You deserve to get knocked out this week when there are two other games with far more predictable results.

I'd advise supporters of other teams thinking about sinking the boot in to tread carefully. My banning options are currently a bit limited and you'll probably end up with something more severe than usual.

Don't all go me I feel bad enough. The rules of the tipping comp im in meant I couldn't tip St Kilda - going go against the same team twice in a row I.e gold coast. So Reckon I was justified going us had every reason to think wed win well. Didnt bank on the rain. Oh well what can you do, we'll bounce back. And yes I punched myself in the face...
