Hardwick has started a trend, heaps of coaches have been coaching from the boundry recently.

Pretty sure Paul Roos started the recent trend of doing this. Done it for the last couple of years I believe?

Hardwick has done it nearly every game this year, if not every game. I don't think anyone did it much last year, Roos did it a few times but thats about it. Hardwick does it pretty much every week so he can have face to face conversation with the players when they come off the ground because they are so young, raw etc.

I think alot of coaches think its a great idea and have followed suit, in the last few weeks i've seen 4 or 5 different coaches do it.

Last Sunday morning on SEN Robert Shaw wanted to know who was making match day moves for Richmond on game day as its impossible to do it from the boundary, and he mentioned Longmire being Roos “eyes“ and making the general match day moves. And a bout 5 or 6 weeks back, the same question was put to Finey and Martin Pike by a caller and Pike said he had heard it was Campbell and said basically the same thing about Roos/Longmire. Whilst that’s not 100% about Cambo, what appears to be 100% is someone in the box does make the moves for all coaches when they are on the boundary.

Hardwick hasnt pioneered it, Roos has been doing it for a few years now and Longmire doing the main coaching, just like Cambo is doing the majority of our match day coaching whilst Dimma is on the boundry.

credit where its due for Cambo - he would have put his name forward for this job, and despite not being successful - he has stayed on and handled some pretty major responsibilitys being the key man in the post while Damian sits at ground level.

Many of former tigers would have been bitter not to get the job and see the current coach get sacked - but he has stayed on and been Damian's right hand man very well :thumbsu:

Never liked Campbell as a player and had doubts about a leftover of "old Richmond" still being within the new regime, but if this is true it's quite ironic as some here were of the belief that he , among other things:

*white-anted Wallace & then Rawlings

*was going to undermine Hardwick

* the main reason our midfield went to shit last year

..of course all these things could still yet turn out to be true/come true.....just sayin' is all....

I cant judge his football brain, l can judge that he was squib and a selfish footballer. If the cap fits.... wont be long until he tries to bring us back to the days where he feels more comfortbale.

What a crock of shit. Have you proof for any of this rubbish?

Just like the shit mario posted. FFS You cannot be serious with that stupid comment. Campbell bleeds Yellow and Black.

I'd suggest mario there's as much in it as the pearls of wisdom we heard adnauseaum over the ages on the future of Gus, Edwards, trade Riewoldt, Lids and Foley, need I go on...stick around for long enough around here and you'll have enough material to script an episode of seinfeld:rolleyes:

you failed to add and also one of the most decorated players of his era...Read AA caps and Victorian games, put your bitterness aside, sure life has dealt you a cruel hand, don't ever let it cloud your judgement

Comprehension's obviously not a strength of yours. Try reading the entire post next time.

Get a clue

Roos has been doing it for years and it was brought up last year with the increase of coaches doing it from the boundary line, before Hardwicks time

Development Coaches = Coach from the Boundary Line
Tactical Coaches = Coach from the box

Hardwick = Development Coach
