You would actually have to trade something for Brown though. There is no way you could keep Gibbs, Murphy, Kreuzer etc. Brisbane are going to want more than pick 6-10 (depending on where you finish) and scrubbers. They are going to want a combination of 2 excellent players/top 3 picks and maybe another top 20 pick/handy players.

If you want Brown, you are going to have to lose 3 players/picks.
True, but Carlton will not "sell the farm" to get Brown to Princes Park. Should he become available, I have every confidence in Swann and Icke to do the best deal possible for us.

Yes but really would you sell your first 2 round picks when you have Rocca,Burns,Wakelin,Prestigiacomo and Holland,Lockyer and Obree all 29 next year, maybe 30 near the end. We have a list of young players only Stevens,Scotland and Fevola are 27 +. The club have a young midfield and very young defence and Ruck. The other clubs would be nuts, like Glenn Archer said to give away their picks to get a player who could play for only 6 years.

Hawthorn and Geelong could get him,but why when they have a CHF. It wouldn't harm Carlton as much as Collingwood with picks. I say Collingwood really need to refresh their midfield more then anything first.

I doubt we go for Dal Santo if anyone it's either Kerr wanting to get out of the eagles that i feel he will if the club struggle next year. It's obvious he will go if what he said is true, that if he get's tagged all the time he won't play for a long time in the AFL. I can see him going, but i reckon Brown is what we need with Fevola more then Kerr. The young Defence will grow eventually with the young Ruckmen.

i wouldnt count out nickky dal, he would be a massive win for us!

Unsure on that. In saying that it would take a lot to get him here. But, he is out of contract, so his value is not as high as if he was in contract and wanted to leave.

If they don't trade him and he wants to leave, Lions would get nothing.

Useless Trivia - J.Brown at the Carlton Game

Useless trivia - The big man himself, Jonathan Brown, was sitting about two seats away from me yesterday in the MCC mebers watching the Carlton v Richmond game.

Swear I saw him clap for the first Carlton goal and not the first Richmond goal ;)

I too was sitting in the MCC and had Aisake and Shields nearby.... Why don't all of the players sit together?

Not sure but it looked like Bowza was sitting with either his family or his family friends so maybee he just wanted to catch up with them.

Re: Useless Trivia - J.Brown at the Carlton Game

lol I can only laugh at all the Bigfooty tragics who post ridiculous stories of "I heard it from a good source that..." for six months of the year, then have something to say in this thread, when I made it absolutely clear that it was tongue in cheek.

If you ask me this is clear evidence that he will be at Carlton next year. Done deal:thumbsu:
