I didn't want to detract from some of the fine campaigning to take my role

I have enjoyed my time here but thought that it was time to step aside. The past and current mod teams have all been great to work with and be around and I thank them all for the experience. The Essendon mods try to appoint good people first and foremost. I was lucky enough to slip through the cracks.

Since the mistake of adding me to the roster they have tightened the background checks to become a mod. I guess I should say sorry to eth-dog and Jade as your slim chance of ever being added has now vanished. You have as much chance of becoming a mod as RearNaked not lifting, Aaron of getting a job, or the Red Sash deleting his twitter account.

While what is said on the mod board remains confidential, I can confirm that the following mods are as big a campaigners as they appear;

Echols, SonOfReep, The_Wookie, Starburns_, B Tron, Twinkletoes, The Filth Wizard, Mofra, Ant_ and Heisenberg_

The following are top people;

Doss, Beerfish, VelvetSledge and Harlequin

Thanks to you all for some of the very fine suggestions about what I can do with my life and reminding me that becoming a mod does not make me a success in life. Although I disagree, I do appreciate the advice. I will, however, still be a mod around the place, so feel free to say hello.

In all seriousness, the last few years haven't always been easy to be an Essendon supporter, but some on this board and others have made it a good place to be. For that, I thank you. I will leave knowing that you're all in the hands of a good bunch of mods so try not to annoy them too much. Also, don't lose your sense of humor over all of this, there is more to life and other things to be pissed off about. Stay happy
