Injury Jack Anthony injured in NEAFL game (now cleared of serious)

No specific details yet, but Jack has suffered a serious neck injury playing in the NEAFL today, with the match being called off at 3 qtr time.

It was a NEAFL game, and I was watching it online. Southport v Aspley. He stayed down for a very long time, but his legs were moving which hopefully is a good sign. Hopefully all precautionary with the medics not moving him. There was a long wait on the ambulance to arrive. Hope all is ok.

Yep my memory served me correctly. It was his Dad.


Anyway, hope the injury isn't serious and he makes a speed and full recovery.

Yeah I think his Dad was John Anthony Snr. A policeman up in Qld IIRC. Hence John Anthony the player was referred to as Jack. His Dad posted pretty passionately on here for a while until I suspect he was dissuaded from doing so by the club.
