I'd have McStay out before Buller. Dan needs a psychologist before he runs out with the seniors again. He is fragile and always has been. Jack seems far less complicated and gives 100% effort. You can see the wheels turning in Dan's head as he lines up for a kick....don't f it up, whatever you do don't f it up!

I just had a mental image of a psychologist (giving him positive advice) running around with Dan whilst playing AFL

His head certainly hasn't been in a good place the last 6+ years. When we need one of our forwards to stand up, I would of thought it'd be him. But not sure we can persist with him ATM.

Now Buller likely dropped this week for steene

Give buller a month in the VFL as the main banana up front. Build some confidence.

Not sure why the recruiters/talent spotters at the club spent time on this guy when we have posters right here who know better.

If not then hopefully his story can imitate Howe’s and Mihocek’s… who came to the pies as predominantly forward and back respectively… then made it elsewhere on the field

In that sense, I think Buller has the size, work rate and mobility to become a good key defender.. if they went down that route

He had played 10 games (9 in 2025) prior to the start of the season. You’re ready to right him off? I think he’ll surprise you and easily play 50 games.

I like the recruiting of Buller. The cost is cheap. He has attitude and physical strengths. He is here with McStay and Membrey to learn from. With Membrey OOC this year and McStay next year there is clearly opportunity there to play seniors. Ideally he develops and forces his way into the seniors. Just dump him is a bit early.
Edit: King seems remote, the recruitment of Buller is still good if King was to arrive. We need KPF players.

Needs to have a stint in the VFL to get some confidence. He competes hard, but his agility is poor as is his core strength. Goes to ground too easily without the ball.

I would play West and Cameron as our forwards. Steene as a centre bounce Ruck, rotating with Cameron to do the around the ground work.

Small forwards: J Daicos, McCreery, Elliott and Schultz.

Our mids need to get serious: Long, N Daicos and Sidebottom

Let Steele and Crisp have the wings.

Mid Rotations: Pendlebury, Allen, DeGoey, Lipinski and occasionally Crisp and J Daicos.

Framptons hands are not great inside 50. Performs a basic role down back though

Aside from the GF I don’t remember Frampton’s hands being that bad up forward. His issue was he let the ball come rather than attack it and had no forward nouse.
