Collingwood star Jack Crisp could miss a blockbuster Gather Round clash against St Kilda and Anzac Day if found guilty of conduct unbecoming under an AFL investigation of leaked Snapchat images.
As revealed by the Herald Sun, Crisp will play in Thursday night’s Gabba clash against Brisbane despite the leaking of those historical images.

In the snapchat images he is seen allegedly referencing drugs when he says: “Come and drink and have some lines. Just have a bit of a party”.

Crisp does not contest that it is him in the images shown on Snapchat.

But it is not known if he is the person who wrote the captions.

The AFL’s integrity team will conduct an interview with Crisp next week.
Under the AFL’s illicit drugs code players who record a positive strike through the AFL’s testing are not identified.

But players like Collingwood’s Jack Ginnivan or then-Adelaide player Brad Crouch have accepted two-week suspensions and $5000 suspended fines after their illicit drug use was made public.

Ginnivan was exposed snorting a white powder while Crouch was searched by South Adelaide police and found in possession of cocaine.

Crisp and his family have been aware of the images for several years.

But Collingwood had no knowledge of the details of those images until being alerted by the Herald Sun on Wednesday.

The AFL’s integrity team will interview Crisp about those apparent drug references and probe whether he had taken drugs on that night.

If he conceded drug use he would likely be hit with a drug strike and a two-week ban consistent with the Ginnivan and Crouch sanctions.

The AFL would give him that drug strike as a notifiable adverse finding.

Crisp, who signed a contract through to 2026 in December, will play his 192nd consecutive match on Thursday night.

The league explains the double standard in its illicit drugs code by stating that players have a responsibility to set community standards.

I have to agree. Most media outlets have been careful on what they reported on this issue so far
I’ve been struck by the shift of some toward the “revenge pr0n” side of the story. News corp are obviously frothing over the salaciousness of it and how it plays to their conservative consumer base, but the rest seem to be taking a more balanced approach.

Maybe we should sack Jack and demonstrate just how committed we are to promote justice and equality....and trade ginnivan in order to stamp out the drug culture in australian society....and pay all the players equally to stamp out income inequality in australia...

That what the Media wants done

Even if we accept it all on face value, that it is/was him that made the captions and everything... you know, some things were just not meant for our eyes. Whoever 'leaked' this had only malicious intent in mind. Whether that's personally against Jack, the club or both.
Unless there is another element to this that we are not aware of, I can't help but just feel sorry for him and his family.

I haven't seen much of what is going around, only two photos with captions from one media website. Based on those I will make the assumption that they are doctored captions superimposed over the top of Crisp photos (if not then Jack is a complete moron). I did not see any photos of "bags" or "nudes" etc but if those images are of a similar nature, then it is clear to me that all this is a sinister setup towards Jack and Collingwood probably with the main intention of distracting the club enough to lose tonight's game against Brisbane. If anyone connected to the Brisbane Football Club has anything to do with it I would be disgusted but I half expect the idiots of society to do something like this.

In any case, they are worried about us and our capabilities and are determined to cut us down as is always the case when our famous club is looking like a serious premiership threat. Based on this, I expect our team to galvanise and destroy Brisbane tonight. I am confident of a devastating victory.

Tear them a new arseh*le Jack!

What? Has he been suspended or is that just what some peanut is calling for?

No, he is free to play tonight. He will be interviewed by the AFL integrity unit next week. If he admits to drug use at the time of when those pics were taken, probably 10 years ago, then he will be hit with a 2 week sanction.
The whole thing sounds stupid, that if he admits to drug use at the time, he will be suspended for a historical act.....

Two week suspension is a bit much but a $5000 fine for conduct unbecoming would set a standard, be a mild penalty and end the discussion around the incident.

The footy world then awaits the next idiot action from a footballer

Amazing how many people on here who are politically quick to label everyone and everything in society as racist, homophobic, misogynist, etc etc.

But then don’t apply those same high moral standards when their football teams players behave poorly

Instead it’s a symphony of media blame, what abouts and excuses 🤷‍♂️

At the end of the day Crisp is a big boy who should’ve known better

What? Has he been suspended or is that just what some peanut is calling for?
Journos were demanding the banning of Degoey from playing any footy when he had those unsubstantiated allegations hanging over his head. If anyone had caved and done just that how does a player get recompensed when found not guilty or no case to answer? This guilty cause somebody says or posts something is a sickness in our media these past few years. And the genuine scum who leak these clips retain their anonymity and probably profit from their sick betrayal.

For those of you young enough to have lived most of your lives under the influence of a Liberal Party sanctioned and legislated blanket media corporations owned and controlled by a couple of head cases this link will show you what the newspapers should be all about but aren't.
