Yeah agree, but there's not even a note on the website, or a sentence in the selection email, etc.

If he gets injured during the game and can't play next week, he would miss the chance to be celebrated for even equalling the record.

I like how the club generally plays milestone games relatively low key. Besides, he doesn’t break the record until next week and it would invite bad karma to celebrate too early.
