And who's the player that will pick up the slack for the amount of goals that Darling kicks over the year? Waterman is an unknown quantity at this stage of his career so IMO Darling stays!
Why even bother replying to his posts. Never seen that user say anything positive regarding a player or club. It’s probably a troll account as well.

These players we have as "Auto Picks" like Darling need a wake up call now and then. Kick him back to the WAFL for 2 weeks and watch his work rate pick up after.

Jack Darling to east perth is a better topic.

The table above shows a comparison with a player in a similar role. Jack is slightly younger but ahead in most comparisons. In the 7 seasons Jack has played he has kicked 2011 24, 2012 53, 2013 42, 2014 39, 2015 (injured first half of season), 2016 44 , 2017 43.

He also averages 5 marks and 3.2 tackles per game. Hardly the record of someone who does not deserve a game.

He deserves to be put under the spotlight because there has been no improvement since 2013. He has stagnated, why? Lack of mental application. It’s obvious.

Like all players he should be put under the spotlight but as a player that contributes over 40 goals most seasons he should probably not be judged so harshly.

I agree that he has not really gotten better since his second season but that was a very good season and his years since have been pretty good. I think he gets judged by a handful of moments more than his overall contribution which has been pretty good. Most clubs would love to have someone that can kick 40 plus goals in the shadow of a Coleman medalist.
