Jack Darling vs Jack Watts

I was comparing Darling and Howe earlier this week. Both 190 cms and both in their first year, although Howe is older.

Howe has averaged more disposals, more marks and more goals in an inferior team, but Darling doesn't have as much opportunity with Kennedy, Lynch and the resting ruckman.

I'd prefer Darling over Howe because of his aggression and ability to be more of a key forward. That said, I really rate Howe's all round game. He has great hands, good pace and nice kicking skills.

Darling reminds me a lot of Aaron Hamill.... "undersized" for a KPP, but with great hands, a very good kick and a whole lot of mongrel. Has been great for a first year player and will likely play a big role in some very good teams in the future. I think Watts is a class above him in terms of awareness and versatility, but lacks the drive and competetiveness of Darling. Hopefully they both have injury free runs over the next few years so we are able to make a more fair comparison in a few years time.

Reliable stats you have there, Watts has actually kicked 20, with much more time spend roaming up the field.

Yes. Watts has also been subbed twice (missed 1.5 quarters against Brisbane and 3 quarters against Gold Coast. Darling has missed 2 or 3 quarters total if i'm not mistaken?)

Don't know what school you went to, but 1.6 and 1.4 aren't even, even if there is minimal difference. It's this thing i like to call decimals.
