I would say very few. He has become probably the best short kick in our side especially to a leading forward, which may not count for much in 2013, but in 2012 when we were equal most efficient by foot it is more impressive.

Back to Darling. Best tall power forward in the AFL.

Reid vs Darling - Hard choice.

If his health is good I would take Reid at a pinch. Otherwise Darling.

reid more the type of KPF we need so would prefer him, having said that would welcome Darlin nicely. Like a quick forward line, Mora/Marsh/Darling, Fyfe/Barlow/Mundy/Sylvia, Walters/Ballas, Clarke/Sandilands/Griffin??, Pav, Mayne
I'd take that.

Freo has a good midfield, a top 4 midfield but not the best number 1 midfield. So to say masten would be a reserve in your side is laughable. Sylvia was 5th in Melbourne's best and fairest, why get him then if you midfield is amazingly spectacular, guy won't get a game. Your midfield is good, but I think your over estimating it greatly.

But yes back to Darling

sylvia slots in as forward.
Masten not bad, i like him as he's a mates cousin and met him. Not the best in our midfield but would fit in there.
1) Fyfe
2) Mundy
3) Hill
4) Barlow
5) Masten/Neale
6) Sylvia (Forward)
7) Tendai/d. Pearce

Got CROWLEY there as well

Not exactly somebody i'd give a good pick 4 as he doesnt add TOO MUCH because it's already strong, but would take for free.

Some people on here need to take their WC hating glasses off. Darling is a great young talent and I would be more than happy offering our first-round pick and a good player for him. He is exactly what we need. He can take a grab, kicks plenty of goals and loves to chase and tackle. I might be shot down for this but he suits our game style much more than Pavlich. (Don't worry I still like Pav)
 
Never gonna happen but just for ****s and giggles what do people think the ball park would be?

First rounder and Hill? Sheridan?

Shame Michie wants to go home, Eagles are probably the exception in that they'd have seen enough of him to possibly rate him, not as a straight replacement for Hill in the deal but as a little more than steak knives at least and he'd get a good opportunity at WCE.

Wouldn't want the deal to be done tbh but still have to rate Darling.

Went end of first round, had three years of development and done everything to show he'll live up to potential.

And our first rounder is 17.

Wouldn't have thought Hill alone would get the deal done. Wouldn't be happy trading Hill anyway though I'd do our first rounder and something like Michie/Sheridan/Crozier in a heartbeat.

What are you even talking about? I'm not a troll. I'm pretty staunch in my opinions and I'm not going to back down from them when so many arguments are based on "hipster prick!" Why would Nathan Brown bring this up? And why would Darling's manager have to come out and say he's off limits if enquiries haven't been made? Someone equally as wanted and talented at Freo, say Mundy (though Mundy's better, whatever, same status) hasn't had his manager say anything.

Honestly, do you think every single discussion between club and manager is reported? Plenty of things go on, plenty of talks are had, plenty of things are put forward.

All I have ever said is Jack Darling was on Fremantle's list. Which is true, and something Nathan Brown has confirmed.

I won't go mentioning the player I saw while I was sitting down at Optus Oval today, then...
