Freo would have won the 2013 and 2015 flags with Darling in their team. Do people forget how good he is apart from this year. He had that weird foot thing which prevented him for doing any preseason and he missed the first 7 or 8 weeks of the season. Unsurprisingly he finished the year playing like shite (last two rounds plus all finals).
Would have ??Freo would of won the 2013 and 2015 with Buddy Franklin. Franklin has a better GF record over your teams 2 'spearheads'.
You keep thinking thatLegends at the game and on the internet tbh

Haha what a fool.
not really. Darling kicked 2 goals but was missing in the final quarter. There were a few freo players that kicked more goals than him This round. Tabs got 5, weller, mayne and ballantyne had 4 eachThis is a bit awkward now.
simple. eagles bag freo fans for not winning a flag: fine. Was a post of mine deleted?

This. The chest thumping from Freo that's gone on because they beat Essendon. And then Brisbane. Omg. The worst 2 AFL sides since Fitzroy. It's actually deluded and lacking any semblance of reality.Very true, and they were particularly vicious witches hats Freo were playing too.
i have seen your posting history. your a freo hater. If Ross Lyon was ultra defensive, the dockers wouldnt score 100 points against either side.This. Does west coast play with 2 talls or does west coast use darling as a 3rd tallNot really sure what to make of Darling at the moment.
Has been OK each week without any standout games. Bit of an anti-Kennedy in that he tends to kick goals away from home and against top sides but his peaks aren't at the same level.
One 50+ goal season to this point is a bit underwhelming. Should be a 2-3 goal a game player. Also having his lowest tackling season to date. Was a tackling machine when he started but has dropped off a little.
Looked like a future superstar in his first two years. Has stagnated a bit since and had injury troubles his year. I would still love him on our list. He is still pretty young and his prime is not unlikely to come in future years...
yeah but i think Waterman might be a bit better overhead and a contested mark. hopefully jake has another 3-5cm of growth in him and get to a size of a second tall. Jack at the moment isn't doing a bad job as the second tall but like other have said, he is probably better playing the third tall role.Would Jake Waterman coming through in the father/son draft this year be a similar kind of player as Darling. That was my impression from what I saw of the game he played against Vic Country.
I saw a bit of him in juniors (in the year before he was drafted). A dominant player as a youngster in the team. But like a lot of players like Darling, he had man's body at 16 and was simply too big for other kids to handle. That changes when you get to senior level, particularly AFL level.
Its funny cause a lot of ex forwards really rate him highly. On numerous occasions i have heard them say that they feel like he's on the verge of blowing games apart. I dont think that will come that often with jk being the dominant forward but i think he might have some bigger games coming up in the second half.Darling kicked 53 goals in his second year at AFL level, without Kennedy or LeCras around him. He's more than capable playing against men.
Struggled big time last year missing the pre-season and first 10 games. Having a better year this year but not starring. Has 29 goals so far which if he keeps his form up will be 49 in 22 which is a good return, but that should really be his benchmark rather than his peak.
Has played 118 games and I think kicked at least one goal in 100 of them. He's pretty consistent with 2s, 3s & 4s but has only kicked 5 six times and never more. Is a great contested mark, gets good separation on the lead and is a good set shot. I'd like to see him put together a 60 goal, 300 disposal season and be in the mix of a HF spot in the AA side. Kicking 2 goals a game or less is playing below his potential.

Yeah and i think the fact that we are kennedy centric hurts him as well.He has all the tools you want in a young key forward. Just needs to lift his output.
because you have kennedy at one end killing it. 29 goals at this stage is good but i have a feeling he can improve on it. He still hasnt had a big game yet. he has somewhat stepped up a few occasions this year when kennedy has been well held but in the past he has had games where he has been dominant in those occasions. I remember against the dee's last year, he played a very good game on Tom Mcdonald.Jack seems to fly under the radar
