I think we could do with addressing a need for a pure outside player with good speed. Its a position Blease is meant to play if he develops the way he should (an unknown at the moment). If there is a player avaliable at 12 who specificially address this need presuming all the KPPs are gone i think we should choose this option rather than talking the best avaliable player

Can anyone attest to Darling's set shot?

He is a beautiful kick of the football. A thumping right foot and very straight.

Atley can do this but might not make it to us. Lamb is also a good option but maybe not good enough for pick 12.

I like the idea of a utilty myself and Smedts could play as an athletic half back, half forward or tall mid.

Ok for outsiders I reckon: Bennell, Morton, Blease will come good I reckon, and to a lesser extent Bail who has good wheels.

I'd definately be taking a tall at 12. Seen a few articles who are predicting Harper, he's a tall hey?

Harper is a half forward / midfielder. Is often compared to Steve Johnston in terms of playing style.

Not sure if these have been posted elsewhere but footage of Darling from 2009. Well worth a look.

I like the following footage of him vs Peel in his first senior game as a 17yo. Didn't look to small or out of place.

Thanks, Andy. Any footage I've seen of young Jack screams out one thing: Competitor. I love his second and third efforts. He moves well for a bigger man.

If JD could become a good AFL footballer he would compliment Watts and Jurrah beautifully, as they all have something different to offer.
