Haven't you lot seen the government funded Respect advertisements on the trains and all over the footy?

Some purple haired arts graduate (insert their preferred gender pronoun here) has declared that making eye contact with a (person identifying as) female on the train is basically domestic violence.

What Ginnivan did was far worst than that. I know its a game and nothing to do with an actual person, but he gave a hypothetical womxn an appearance rating! Therefore he thinks not all womxn are equally attractive.. in fact even thinking about any woman as attractive is basically violence!!!

Cancelled.
I love how people are so upset by the notion that women should be treated with respect and not objectified that they need to run with confected s**t like this to mask their outrage.

Take a deep breath and live your life man, if you're a decent person capable of showing respect to others, then nobody is out to get you.

"On May 31st, 2022, TikToker[1] @leahhwoodss posted a video where she and her friends play a game in the car. Lah presents the scenario, "He's a six but he drives a nice truck, what does that make him?" One player says "an eight" and another says "a 7-and-a-half." She then passes the camera to the next player, who offers another scenario. The video gained over 1.4 million views in three weeks (shown below)."

Started by a person who identifies as female.

It's equally as lame when a female does it.

You must be the poster child for friend zoned males.
I love how those who don't get it, can't actually counter the argument and are just resorting to personal attacks.

Happily married, so not looking to get out of any friend zones. Awesome insult though. You really showed me.

If anything you'd be looking to get in to the friend zone with the wife instead of the usual 'she's passively waiting for me to die' zone most husbands exist in.

Don't get what?

That you are totally clueless about how other people are attracted to each other for many of the reasons you were blurting out as bad things?

I can't believe so many people have missed the mark on this. 'It's harmless', 'It's a tiktok trend', 'Women are doing it too', 'There's no victim'...

Harmless - It glorifies, normalises and encourages people to objectify others based on looks, social and economical background and personality traits.

Tiktok trend - as though this somehow excuses the above type of behaviours. Other worthy tiktok trends of note: the blackout challenge, the benadryl challenge, the COVID challenge, the eye colour changing challenge, the penny challenge, plus many many more. Let's be honest, the majority of tiktok trends/challenges are deliberately designed to get idiots to do things that are dangerous or frowned upon. That, and getting young girls to dance around in skimpy outfits. It's for halfwits with short attention spans.

Women are doing it - as though this somehow makes it less sexist and more acceptable.

No victim - as above. Racism is still racism, regardless of whether there's a victim. Generalising that Asians can't drive, or black people can't swim doesn't make those statements less racist because they aren't directed at an actual person.

This isn't a Ginnivan, or Collingwood thing. The AFL and/or ALL clubs wouldn't want players engaging in activities like this, and rightly so.
But, they've deleted the video, apologised and are likely doing some course to show penance. Hopefully they've learned and move on, but let's not make half-arsed excuses for it.

TIL that being attracted/not attracted to someone was a hate crime.

Who hurt you bud?

would there be outrage if a female athlete did it ? lol

welcome to real equality, not this one sided type the media SJW's ram down your throat

That get a shitload of training, advice and mentoring about the pitfalls of the AFL lifestyle and social media.

Let’s not make out like they’ve never being warned on the perils of social media from their club, the AFLPA and AFL in general.
They're footballers. One of them is literally a horny teenager, the very thing you accused him of being. Warn them till the sky falls, it won't do jack s**t. Except in rare cases. And that's for the general population, its even rarer in footballers.

They get warned about all this s**t to protect sponsors so they can get paid significantly less than what they do in terms of providing the product that gets sold. That's all. No one but advertising scum actually gives a *. This isn't even worth the little time we're putting into discussing it.

You're whinging about the symptom not the problem.

There is no actual outrage about this. Most people are bored or a/bemused.

You seem genuinely clueless to the fact that if the training and warnings were so pointless we’d be seeing this sort of thing hundreds of times a year.

Fact is that most players who enter the system obviously listen to the training and pay attention in the induction.

Other players have done this exact thing but it wasn't reported because there is no connection to De Goey/chance for a click on the article.

Other players. Yes, a handful of players out of hundreds.

800 players or there abouts. Another 200 trainers, assistant coaches, and coaches.

How many a year do you reckon?

Im sure all sorts of things happen, but most are smart enough to put their phones away. Its literally that easy.

Yeah, and no one gives a s**t.

That's because its irrelevent, harmless and the response to those two is just a media beat up. Maybe the reason other players haven't played that game is its a pointless, vacuous waste of time, like alot of crap on tik tok or social media generally and that video games, sex and a quiet beer are more fun (In that order alright!!11!!!). It seems more likely to me.

Dude its a "game" for smartphones about imaginary people with a made up "hotness rating" and how learning something about them changes your rating (ie your perception) of them. Its not even something that people should put their phones away for. Literally harmless "fun".

So the whole internal review Collingwood went through which savaged their culture said that harmless fun rating women is okay?

The AFL social media policy is also okay with it?
