Ironically the 21 year old who Mitchell and co defended as a 'very young man' has actually shown more maturity about the whole thing than any of Sicily, Hodge, Lewis, or even Mitchell himself.

IMO Ginnivan lost it for them. It was just the motivation someone like Hinkley needed.
I thought Hawks could have troubled the Swans too.

You gonna lip off you really gotta back it up better than that. He must have been stunned when Hinkley came at him without a keyboard

Ginnivan had a solid game for a small forward.

And he wouldnt give a toss about Ken, reckon he would have been loving it actually.

Ken's reaction was immature and poor sportsmanship. I think he will regret it and be a bit embarrassed. He was under a lot of pressure though in the lead up so its understandable as he is only human. People defending it just hate Hawthorn or Ginnivan for their own reasons.

Burgoyne was off the leash. Great game. His skills were a big factor in such a high pressure game. Port generally were hard at it for 4 qtrs. To Hawks credit they gave as good as they got. Sicily hitting the post was the sliding door moment. He fluffed it, and the residual agony of disappointment had him on the edge of losing the plot in the aftermath. Fortunately his young team mates got in his ear.

I don't know. Seems a long bow you're drawing. I was just referring to people shooting their mouths off when the reality is they're cowards who fail to back it up and then want to have a cry about it publicly.

Thats not the point. Hinkley is supposed to be a role model who should know better. Frankly he should get a 12 week ban and if he ever does anything again a lifetime ban from the sport. But the afl is pissweak so it wont happen. When you see regular parent and crowd violence at local games you cant and shouldnt condone this crap. The last thing you want is our game ending up with the reputation for violence incitement that soccer does.

AFL is so pissweak reckons the bloke who recommends 12 week to lifetime ban for post-game playful banter??
