Going out the night before?
He was there for an hour and the last race was at about 9.15.
Sounds like a real bender!
Exactly, it’s not like he was having a baby on grand final morning…

Yeah this is fair. You read one article on this and it's like Fly is telling Jack off, listen to him and he sounds relaxed.
I don't think the club will be hiring Redman to execute Jack over the matter but he may face a little fine or something.
RubbishNot demonstrated onfield.
It’s embarrassing how, what you would suspect normal people buying into media garbage trying to hang our player..
He went to Moonee Valley to watch horses run with a couple of mates.. if he went out for dinner or went to the movies would that be acceptable? Of course it would. It’s just an activity to keep his mind off the huge event the next day.
Rewatching it again - with all respect, it’s pretty clear you’re talking shite. No there was an undercurrent of annoyance there - not fury - but for me the unspoken extension of "read the room" was "time to own your career and leave adolescence behind".
Ginni is a great kid but he is playing with fire - average AFL careers are SHORT and Bobby is already taking the Lions (sic) share of the attention as a small forward.
If he doesn't focus he could easily find himself looking for another club - not so much because of his social actions per se but because of the perceived lack of focus on a career millions of kids would kill for.
Ante up Ginni and be the player you can be . . Fly will back you as will the coaching staff and player group but you need to own it.
Complete invention of your imagination. How do you know what he meant?McRae saying he "will learn" is a political way to say that it wasn't a brief or sober or early Friday outing. Why not just say it was a boring night the club green lighted? The fact it needs consequence indicates something.
Jack will need to grow sooner rather than later or risk wasting his career.
Yep, complete beat-up. Have people never been young?Rewatching it again - with all respect, it’s pretty clear you’re talking shite.
Fly was pretty laid back and jovial when talking about Ginnivan attending the races for an hour on Friday - was chuckling as he said ‘read the room Jack!’
Pretty sure it’s a total non-event in the club’s eyes.
ah yes but the same thing can be said about idle hands sitting at home are tools of the devil. at some point you need to trust the peopleAs a Dir Football explained it to us. It goes from Sunny having a meal at the pub with his wife drinking lemonade, to Sunny at the pub, to Sunny drinking, to Sunny pissed at the pub, to Sunny being locked up, to half the team being out on the tear and locked up pissed - ‘no wonder they lost. Did you hear about last night?’
Not what sponsors want to hear. Best to stay away from all places that serve alcohol after Tuesday.
The kid is happy. Love. A flag. A bond with teammates that'll last forever. Good end to the year for Jack.Leave THE KID alone
Yep. They didn't use the cocaine that they'd bought in case the horse won.And he was home by 10pm apparently with a warm milo on his bedside table.
I think he has to develop into a mid and I think he's got the potential. To be honest, he has a lot of work to do on many areas of his game. I'm not sure he's going to have a super long career. Needs to add speed off the mark and improve his leading patterns and marking

Then fly didn't get the memo, it was ticked off by the club. Even Craig Kelly had no issue at all.Suspect Fly is disappointed in him for the sole reason that it wasn't a good decision to go to the races. It was a mistake, but learn from it and move on, making better decisions as you go.
Contrast his game to Bobby Hill’s,who was just incredible. There’s a huge gulf in talent between the two of them.
Bobby Hill is 3 years older and has lived his own learning experiences. Family. Health crisis. People get to where they’re going in different ways.
