They’d be both playing together had he not retired. So if we’re really wanting to replace a BIG bodied forward, then it’s Lord, or rest Sweet up forward. Don’t be comparing the two, cause you’ll sound silly.

That might be a bit of hyperbole… he did have an all Australian year. Plenty of players we have brought on to our list haven’t even gone close to that.

The Dixon hate on this forum has always puzzled me. Yeah he wasn't perfect but he was a guy who visibly gave his all every time he pulled on the guernsey and hated losing. Still remember him bawling his eyes out after the Richmond prelim, that's a guy who really cares. People hate him because of his blind devotion to Hinkley but his heart was in the right place.

I couldn't care less what he's said about supporters honestly. If he'd delivered a premiership he could say we're all campaigners and I'd cheer him on. I don't care if they give their all either, that's the bare minimum I expect of these people. The All Australian he was awarded was BULLSHIT Jack Reiwoldt, Tom Lynch, Josh Kennedy and Jeremy Cameron all had better years than Dixon. Not to mention he got the AA in a COVID year when he got to perform to no crowds with the best midfield in the competition.

I reckon Charlie's foot in mouth disorder is a symptom of coming from a non football state and having no real understanding of success in a heartland environment, hate would be too strong a word for me he just played dumb whether by instruction or limited understanding of being a key forward due to his background I think it's a bit of both.

I'll never forget Dixon's 2017 elimination final OT extravaganza game. He had the strength of 1000 men, until 1000 men fell on his knee.

Luko's strength is how dynamic he can be in the modern game, structurally he can fill most holes providing we have 2 other fully fit KPF & KPDs (which he can also play as). I hope the coaches utilise him fully when game day strategy puts us on the back foot as often happens against solid sides.
