I think we've just got to wait to see what Josh wants to do.

Lukosius floating around in the Camry side at present would probably look like an awesome toppings player lol, every flaw is exposed at Hinkleytown because there's zero method & synergy. The crows offer was more lucrative, i guess we can blame rozee being the reason he picked port![]()
Wasn't even just Hardwick, it was Dew as well. Not sure why we gave up a 1st rounder for someone who is seemingly just a more polished version of Finlayson. You didn’t have to look too hard to know he had a ‘Buyer Beware’ tag attached to him, but what would a 3 x Premiership winning coach in Dimma know?
So far, it’s proven to be an awful trade. Thank goodness Atkins was thrown in to soften the blow.

It's not looking great at the moment and IIRC they also through in Atkins for the lols so it was a bit of a car wreck but when Carr gets the reigns, we will see what we can get out of him. If he struggles to work hard in the forward line then I would put him back at third tall which he should be able to excel at and he's more reactionary than proactive. Not sure why we gave up a 1st rounder for someone who is seemingly just a more polished version of Finlayson. On top of all that, the environment at the club this year must also be very unsettled while he is still trying to settle in with the team. We need to see what he’s like starting with a clean slate next season. This year has just been a write off for him, missed the majority of the season with multiple severe injuries, came back in when our season was cooked and has played in two unusually treacherous conditions in 2/4 games back and now injured again. But I still think in the Brisbane game and hawthorn game he has shown some pretty good stuff.
most recruits even with no interruptions can take 12 months to really get going. Dixon was at his best for us in year 2. Ryder didn’t come good until year 3 albeit year 2 he was suspended for, Esava only starting coming good this year, even the great Gavin wanganeen had a bit of a mare in his first year for us comparatively to the rest of his career.
If at the end of next season he is still no good we may have problems but I’m willing to cut him some slack for this year as everything that could’ve gone wrong for him has.
Which is saying something when you consider he played Sam Grey at FF for a while thereWill be much better once they use him in a roaming lead up role and don't make it a big focus of his to bring the ball to ground in marking contests ala Dixon.
From a tactical standpoint the forward line this season might be the worst we've seen under Hinkley.
It's why Georgiades' season mustn't be understated. Imagine if he'd not dropped so many marks and kicked so many behinds. Will be much better once they use him in a roaming lead up role and don't make it a big focus of his to bring the ball to ground in marking contests ala Dixon.

CMON SAMMY, STEVIE J USED TO DO IT SO JUST GO OUT THERE AND BE STEVIE J.Which is saying something when you consider he played Sam Grey at FF for a while there
Pretty much. Other supporters or media don't want to acknowledge the injuries since the start and through out for Port and its not always just about who but also what it does to structure. Whilst they could fill the midfield to some degree the backline was stuffed and out of whack from the first round and then the same with the forward line after Lukosius. But then getting these players back mid way or even several rounds in they all need to play together and get form as a team and structure as a unit.. This started happening a little bit as seen in some games but then key players (the same ones really) got injured again... Jones out how many times? Esava? both of these were doing great then injuries then back in and took a bit to regather form etc.. Luko being out all season hasn't helped him with form or structure nor has it helped the forward line with structure either. Just a shit year unfortunately but it pisses me off the clearly low IQ people that instantly write Port off as bottom team and struggling for years to come with painI feel like we'll feel a lot better about our forward line next season.
Luko had a freak injury and along with Marshall being out we were without the 2nd and 3rd KPFs on our depth chart for the basically the whole season. If Luko doesn't get that injury, we probably win a lot more games. Our smalls all probably play better. Georgiades has more space.
Plus next year we won't have Hinkley, one of the worst attacking coaches in the history of the game.
They have absolutely no clue. Players out now getting surgery etc done before a big pre season. New coaches, new plans, big pre season and fresh start with touch wood full health or at least 99% of it with all core players and guaranteed Port will bounce back hard and be top 8 minimum if not aiming for top 4. Especially if they do manage to pull off the trade of getting Nasaih and Butters still there, Bergs still there, Todd back 100% plus all others. If they have their full squad healthy next year quite a few of these players people are getting annoyed at being selected will be fighting hard to get into the 23 next year. Which will be a good thing for competition for spots. The guy hurt his back rehabbing a knee. You can lump me with the other supporters and media not bemoaning luck for our mismanagement of injuries.Pretty much. Agree. A better or at least semi-workable forward structure will make the forward line look a lot better. Plus, hopefully Carr can toughen up the players mentally.I feel like we'll feel a lot better about our forward line next season.

Thanks for delivering some humour in our match threadWhich is saying something when you consider he played Sam Grey at FF for a while there
What makes you think Marshall and Lukosius will have injury free seasons next year? I would not be gambling on that in a million years.I feel like we'll feel a lot better about our forward line next season.

One more concussion and that’s the end of Marshall. What makes you think Marshall and Lukosius will have injury free seasons next year? I would not be gambling on that in a million years.
