He remains keen on essendon. However essendon probably doesn’t have the trading currency, but to be honest I doubt Gold Coast want draft picks. Fascinating.

Could well be the case. Especially if they know Martin still wants to get to the Bombers. Maybe the Tippa compensation pick if it’s good enough or even the Dons 2 x 2nds (30’s) would probably get it done (combined are equivalent to pick 14’ish).

Doggies & Blues would surely have the bigger $$$ to splash though, and also the better trade currency.

But if his heart is still set on the Bombers, he may be willing to take a smaller pay check to get there and the Dons will get it done.

Lol, by the end, he would prob cost desperate clubs around 850k. He is a flash in the pan type player much like bennell. Thanks but no thanks, much cheaper to get bennell as he is also free and would be desperate for a final chance and would would ever it takes to get things right for once. He's a Stephen Motlop type. Best way I can describe his mercurial form. Maybe he will deliver on that promising form? Don't know. Wouldn't pay 750k for him. No way.

I'll put it to you this way, too: Adam Saad shits all over Martin. When Saad started playing for the Suns, he very, very quickly got a cult following for his lightning pace out of defence and his (often) underrated pressure acts. Martin's career to date at the Suns has been hope that he'll live up his potential, and that's it. He hasn't delivered yet. He's had bursts, small purple patches during a season at most, but hasn't got a whole season of great form to his name.
