This is the benefit of supporting a rich, high roller club, instead of a tinpot minnow feeder clubz like The Suns or (lol) Melbourne.

Rich sporting clubs should be entitled to buy their way to success, its traditional!!

Do Northern Blues need a player that expensive? Thought VFL sides stopped with those shenanigans when Tom Boyd retired?

Yeah we don't pay our players in bundles of Meth and Crack like the Tigers do with Dusty 👍👍👍

RIIIIIIIIIGGGGHHHHT:

Norman made his debut in mid-2003, playing seven games in his first season. However, in 2004, Norman made headlines when, after the team's Round 2 win against Geelong, he and controversial team-mate Laurence Angwinarrived at the following day's recovery session under the influence of ecstasy. Angwin had been involved in several previous indiscretions, and was sacked immediately; Norman received a one-match suspension and strict behavioural conditions from the club, with the club believing that he could improve his off-field behaviour in Angwin's absence.[4] Following his suspension, Norman played another fourteen matches for the season.
In early 2005, Norman was again accused of an off-field indiscretion relating to unpaid rent and leaving the property in a poor condition, following his eviction.[5] He played only four games for Carlton during the 2005 season, spending the rest playing for Carlton's VFL-affiliate, the Northern Bullants. He was delisted at the end of the season. Norman played a total of 27 games for Carlton over three seasons.

Difference is, it netted you a flag.

Carltank on the other hand.....
Hey, flighty light-bodied half forwards who average 0.5 goals per game are structurally important too. Apparently.

Imagine paying more for Jack Martin than for Tom Lynch......

At that price, you can have him.
Better hope you're still under the cap.
A big part of Carlton “being back” is “arrangements”, “business deals” and “special deliveries”.

Haha, imagine paying $1m per season for an underperforming player from an expansion club.
It's bizarre. It's as though Carlton is the expansion club on this occasion and they are doing all they can to get whatever is on offer.

It's like the Weller deal except money over picks. Both Martin and Weller are as flaky as one another.

Your club is still suffering from the way the other Carlton, the flag winning one, used to pay it's players.

But hey what a spoon collection some of your boys are gathering:thumbsu:

That's an expensive packet of empty Twisties.
Understatement of the century! 650k five year deal including $1m the first year for a 24 year old who played most of this season in the NEAFL!?

I call upon the AFL to create a Salary Cap Ombudsman to police such flagrant wastes of money at a time when struggling clubs like Norf are barely scraping enough cash to keep the club out of relocation.

SOS shitting in Carlton's cornflakes before they show him the door. :$
