I'm not sure if this roast is becoming a a toast. Thanks dark sharks.

I think Redden is building. The Hawks game was very poor but otherwise he has been pretty solid, if unassuming IMO.

I was surprised at how much melting there was about him on Saturday night. Played his role I thought.
Found the ball but I thought disposal by foot was poor. He should get a +25 possession soon but first he needs to consistently get above 20 possessions. He does well in congestion and defensively but needs to be better in link up play.

I saw that video as well and couldn't believe how softly spoken he was. He seems so likeable and gentle.

His decisiob making was piss poor though and he didn't have a good game

Yeh needs to learn priddis is not a receiver. Some of the vets know to avoid him but the kids, new recruits and masten still think hes a viable option and pass to him.

He was much better than i thought watching the replay, just had 2 or 3 absolute wtaf moments that stick out. Just doesnt seem to have a mongrel/confidence streak in him that needs to be unleashed. Couple red bulls before next game plz.

He was a campaigner to Selwood and Dangerfield last year even tho he played shithouse. Needs that mongrel but probably needs the confidence from playing well.

Still keeping the faith with Redden.

Obviously would like him to get more of the ball, but he's at least getting involved defensively when he doesn't have it. Something our midfield doesn't always do.

Think his best form is ahead of him this year. That game v Sydney has to be his benchmark.

If you look through his stats he's getting almost identical numbers every game whether we win or lose (Sydney game the exception where he was +2 to +5 on all his stats).

So he's been consistent. He's earning clearances and contested possessions and his one %'s are just ok. His clangers are quite bad, needs to work on that. His tackling has been pretty good though.

So he's probably doing enough to hold his spot as that 2nd tier mid and has room for more inside minutes which will likely lift his total numbers closer to Priddis' totals, their averages are similar.

I think it's his time outside the middle when he's a bit part player on a wing or hff is where he's being noticed. He doesn't receive the ball much in those positions and when he does his disposals can be poor. If he either spends more time in the middle, or starts using the ball better he'll look much better to the viewers.

Agree with this. He really needs to be playing inside mid but he doesnt get much of a chance presently due to Priddis and Mitchell. He only really subs in for parts of the second half of quarters.

Still disappointed that we gave up our 1st round pick for him, definitely way too high imo. Wasn't that excited about picking him up, he seemed a bit too vanilla and not exactly the type of midfielder that we needed, so I didn't expect too much from him. If not dropped, I'd still like for him to share his midfield minutes with Mutimer.
