I prefer the notion that we never let him back in and delist him at seasons end.

I have not checked but I assume he signed a three year deal so he'll be around next year at least. As I said, I would like to see him play in a side without Priddis and Mitchell.

I'm sick of reading this shit. He (insert name of any one of half a dozen players) isn't playing well cos he is being played out of position. Apparently we have a heap of midfielders and no hffs. Load of wank, players should be able to adapt and play a role, players in other teams seem to manage it. Back in the day all midfielders used to change in the forward line when rested and if they couldn't do it they were moved on. If the poor snowflake can only play one position he can find a new job. FFS it's not under 10s where parents complain because useless little Johnny only gets to play in a pocket.

We have two Brownlow medallists who couldnt play HFF if their lives depended on it.

So without Priddis in, Redden had 21 touches, 8 tackles, 6 clearances and two very nice deliveries to the leading forwards. That's a quality game.
At his best i see him as a cunnington/libba sort.

Great game today.

No Priddis and Redden shines.

East Perth are looking forward to him being dropped when Priddis is back and we drop a game...

I thought his contest in the middle there was crucial when the game was on the line (last few minutes).

He's a great inside player and at least he has a bit of speed about him. I really hope they don't drop him this week.
There was a moment in the middle where he caused a stoppage in the middle when stringer was trying to yank it out but with one arm he was able to out strength stringer and look it in.

When he hit up KArpany for his first goal of the game, it was such a great moment, actually lowers his eyes and can hit a forward. So much better than Priddis but as a team we were still chopped up on the rebound, although with better set shot kicking we'd have been further in front.

Yeah that was the contest I was referring to, thought it might have been Stringer but wasn't too sure. Either way, it's great to see our boys with some intent!

Didn't star but that's the level he's got to play at every week, just be a scrapper around the stoppages.

He doesn't need to star, just needs to offer 20-25 good quality touches and 5+ tackles in the congestion.

The fact he hit up at least 2 leads today and had a handball release as well that ended in a behind to the player is such a massive turn around from anything Priddis can offer. Shuey, Mitchell and Yeo are the stars and Redden just has to do his bit.

21 touches at 90% efficiency today + his 6 clearances and 8 tackles.

Didn't try to do too much with the ball - but he looks so much more damaging with ball in hand.

Needs to back it up, obviously, but I hope he gets the chance to do so in the same spot and not on a flank which he isn't suited to.

Put him in his best position and ****ing keep him there for a few weeks. He will shine.

It's a bit disappointing that the coach has had a crack at him in the past for not doing enough, but then when he gets played in his favoured position that he's always played in, he plays a pretty good game. The poor bastard, playing on the HFF and then getting roasted by the coach and crowds

Was a decent game not great but decent. We looked better with him than Priddis. You can tell he's down on confidence though he really went very very safe with his disposal. He really needs to get back in the gym he's lost a bit of bulk and is a bit too slim to stand up in tackles/shrug people off at afl level ATM.

His disposal was exactly what it needed to be. He's tried to kick attacking into the corridor and turned it over too much for my liking. He can hit the forward on the lead, he can cover defensively and worst case scenario he bombs it, it will go 50m not 35m with extra hang-time.

Noticed yesterday that even when Gaff and Mitchell had to bomb it (which is legitimately the only option sometimes) they managed to drive it forward 50-55m and sometimes onto patches of grass. That's basically an effective disposal under pressured circumstances. Mitchell does it off either foot, Gaff only capable on his left. Priddis not capable at getting any further than 40m and can't hold the trajectory under a 40 degree angle.

Not convinced on Redden at all, would rather Priddis any day of the week.
Priddis is actually quicker than Redden
