Things are falling into place for jack to pick up his 2nd Coleman yet seems to be no thread here. I'm moving to Cannes today and not going to have Internet access tomorrow so might not know the result(unless I can hijack the girlfriends iPhone).

The way pav is tracking at the moment jack should only need 3 or 4

Honestly, i just don't feel he deserves it, so many things have landed his way for him to get it it's not funny, it's just pure luck that he is even in the race at the moment.

Fact is though wart if he kicks the most goals he deserves it, but I agree in a way
I know but franklin, hawkins even tex would easily have taken it if they played as many games as him, good on him if he gets it but it wasn't as though he had to fight for it! i dont i might be harsh but that how i see it...

To those saying he doesn't deserve it, consider this.
He doesn't miss games through injury, so he is one of the most durable players in the game.
He doesn't miss games through suspension, so he is clean and sensible.
The fact that he gives himself the very best opportunity to play every game of the season means he has the best chance to kick more goals than players that don't play every game.
Not his fault he does everything right to give himself the best chance to kick the most goals of anyone in a season.
Just saying.

Hawkins has only played the one game less. In fact right now they've both played 21 games, for 59 and 62 goals each.

You've said it perfectly Tugga. I have been trying to say the same thing but from a different angle i.e. Buddy may have missed 6 games but that's because he is running type player and they are more susceptible to hamstring injuries, Walker is an aggressive player but that leads to suspension, etc etc

Yep, and he is such a poor kick for goal from a set shot that he feels he has to play on and kick around his body even from 30 metres out right in front.
Now tell me who is a better advertisement for the John Coleman Medal and who is more deserving?
As far as I can tell, the person who finishes the season with the most goals deserves it.
Whether it's Jack, Pavlich or Hawkins, I don't care.

By the way, I am a little uncomfortable with the title of this thread.
Pav is currently three ahead and could well kick three more.
It's not Jack's to lose at all.

What a load of rubbish , to win you only need to beat the bloke behind you, i accept he hasnt had his best year but if he kicks more than anyone else in the afl then by gee of course he does
