watched the game, he was fit thats why he came back on after a series of medical examinations, hardwick wouldnt be stupid enough to risk riewoldts health, he was running and moving fine, was simply just beaten by mcpharlin
Yeah that is complete crap, i still remember watching the reply and thinking we lost him for a few game, didn't he have to have injections just to play the next round? he could play but not pain free by any means!!!

Crap. Jack kicked one goal, in the first 2 mins before he got injured. He was nothing more than a decoy after he strained his ankle.
Run along.
nope he was obviously fit or he wouldnt have come back on, the medical staff and the club doctor assesed him to be fit and capable of playing so he played, unless your a better expert then the richmond medical team, well then he was fit, he played he was fit its simple, unless one of either your doctor or coach was stupid at the time to risk a injured key forward

best of luck to jack as the coleman obviously means more to a side not participating in the finals, so hope he gets up for the richmond faithful

just getting the facts right about games missed is all

Umad brah? Hawkins is having his best year to date while Riewoldt has been significantly down on his past 2 years and will still likely win the Coleman.

Yeah, umad.

Your facts are wrong, and playing a game with a sprained ankle isn't gonna make it worse, clubs manage injuries all the time, every club does, if you had any idea of what you're saying you would know that.... please troll another board!!!!!

Just a question of thought. When was the last time a team has had a Brownlow Medallist and a Coleman Medallist in the same year? I know Plugger did it.

Now, how about a team that has a Coleman Winner, Brownlow Winner and doesn't make finals. Would be a great stat, I reckon.

I dunno... This doesn't deserve it stuff shits me.

Has anyone noticed how this year (and even last year) he has changed his game to play more of the 'team' and '1%' game? He is constantly dishing it off to a better positioned player, or tapping it to a crumber.

He could have played a selfish style of play and had 10-20 more goals to his name and then no-one would be saying anything about not deserving it.

Actually I would advocate him being selfish as if you've got a Coleman Medailst, you'd think the smart thing would be to use him! But I can see they are trying to make the team less 'Riewoldt centric'. To win a Coleman in such circumstances will make him a worthy winner.

Agreed. That makes him a worthy winner. That and the fact that he will have kicked the most goals.

Exactly right. Add to that he always has about 3 players hanging off him and cannot buy a free kick. Coming off some horrible injuries 60+ goals is an amazing effort I would have thought.

Do not agree with this 3 way tie business. Want him to kick 4 minimum which should be achieved really

Kennedy rolled his ankle, played on then missed fourteen weeks.. Jack was limping like he was missing his foot.

Four goals is gettable, I'd like him to get three and share it with Pav and Hawkins but I'd expect our second forward to kick four on Port so I don't hold any hope of it.

It's been a very even season when less than 65 is the top goal scorer for the league.

Might have felt like he was missing his foot if he injured the ankle he had reconstructed in the preseason.....

Still cannot believe the people saying he has fallen into the medal with everyone else having excuses. This guy had a shoulder reco, an ankle reco, both hips done and his finger in the preseason. If anyone else had these injuries I am tipping they would be no where near the current output jack is giving. The guy is an absolute star and has carried our forward line all year, cannot wait for him to have his first real preseason since 2010, and we all know what happened that year.

Anyone know the deal with a tie from a betting perspective? I have money on both the Pav and Riewoldt.

Would they pay out on both or would they find a way to stitch me up out of both?

Pretty sure they pay out on both, but some betting agencies, because it is not an outright win, will pay a a dividend, divided by the number of winners, so with the coleman, you'd get 33% of the outright dividend, so if basically, you put $10 on Riewoldt at $6 for an outright win of $60, you'd get $20 and 10 on Pav at $30 for $300, you'd get $100, and a combined $120 for both bets.

Jack wins it and the excuses come thick and fast... Buddy out, bla, bla, blah. Barret and Lloyd today said its a joke to win it with 63.

Cotch wins AFLCA and the idiots tell us our coaching staff manipulated the voting.

We get 53k members and get accused of clever accounting.

Seriously i cannot wait for the day we win a flag just to see what excuses everyone comes up with.

He was not fit, he almost missed the following game and would have if he hadn't worked his arse off on treatment of his ankle as was well documented at the time.

Bang on Barnzy. People are so used to having reason to sink the boots into us, when we finally do something positive, they compare us to other clubs so they have some ammo to sink the boots in. They cannot give credit to the Tigers, even when deserved. I reckon if we win a flag, it will be similar to Hawthorn circa 2008. "Bradbury Premiership, the Hawks didn't win, the Cats lost it themselves, Cats's kicked themselves out of it, etc." Guaranteed those things will be repeated if we win, only the team names will change.

I'm not sure who said it, but the most positive thing I have heard a journo say about is was during the week when Cotch had the AFLCA Award sown up, he labelled Cotchin the best player for 2012, bar none.

Jesus christ can game time come any slower? All I want to do is watch Jack and the Tiges play this game so I don't feel bad about procrastinating.

I couldnt care less if someone things he doesnt deserve it...I just want him to get the 4 he needs and I will cheer like a bashee. IMHO he has been bloody good this season considering the off season surgery issues and flying solo up forward for most of the year. Look at stats like tackles and marks inside 50 as well as goals.

heh would be funny if Milne has 5 to half time again. We have nothing to play for so i hope our players all aim for him pushing forward. Make an interesting Sunday arvo for both clubs :)
Milne is undeserving of oxygen, let alone a Coleman.
