They were not a basket case 5 years ago, we were. Mate its easy to tear things down, really easy but sometimes its harder to be supportive even though you might not be happy. You should try it.
They were Shite when Sir Kenneth Hinkley took over the reins just like we were and still are when DH got us 5 years ago
Please read carefully and don't try to confuse yourself with delusional concepts
thank you for wasting my time:mad:

The circlejerk over Port Adelaide is strong here.

This place has the memory of a goldfish

A gun one minute is a dud the next

Just look at the love turn to hate for Gale and Hartley

Port lose a few games, they will be loling their heads off about how he's a dud

That's a low blow mate, if you are really like that then we don't need you otherwise, relax and just take a break from football, that's what i am doing whilst still paying for my membership.

No idea what you're talking about wart101

My point was that I'm not part of the 60,000 who are in apparent agreement re the game plan.

I'm with the coach and staff (and all the players, and JR) who think the game plan and philosophy is absolutely rock solid. The execution of said game plan is where it's lacking atm

Noooooo.

You've taken it the wrong way. The posters assertion was that 60000 supporters are in agreement that the game plan was wrong.
I said 59,999 because I didn't agree the game plan was wrong.

Should have been more expressive.

Even Dimma thinks our game plan or style is boring said it himself lol

The way we are playing is boring. This is not by design. It is not the game plan.

Not in this saga he hasn't, its all on Jack and how he has f**ked up. He wouldnt be saying a thing if hardwick didnt change our gameplan completely. On top of that he claims its the same game plan with a couple of little changes, which it clearly is not.

As you appear pretty confident of the game plan and the changes to it, enlighten us.
What is this game plan.

For all the talk about this incredible "game plan" I just wonder who really know what it is.

Does anyone even know what the football philosophy is? Just tell me, broadly, details not required.

I applaud Jack for coming out and stating to all and sundry what we all know yet the coaches deny or do nothing to rectify it. A perfect example of why Jack came out and said what he said is this from Dimma:

Hardwick said the team hadn't changed their game plan from the last few seasons but their poor form didn't allow them to effectively execute it.

Give me the blunt, brutally honest Jack Riewoldt over the the PR spin and b***s*** of Dimma any day. Dimma is on record stating that we had changed a few things around in our gameplan, and now he is saying we haven't changed it at all? Please, just shows he is talking out of his behind.

Also, if we had more players publicly criticise the club and it's workings, especially from star players, in the past 30 years maybe we would have been able to turn this around a lot bloody quicker than it has taken us.

Honest truths:

Jack is frustrated, but Jack is honest. Part of the reason why he's frustrated is he believes that his opinion and leadership should hold weight, but currently at RFC they do not. No doubt the gameplan needs to be questioned but what led to Jack's public comments is:
A) He has no voice at the club anymore, so he thought "stuff this i'll make them hear me" and gave that interview.
B) He obviously believes not enough people are asking the right questions, or any at all.

C) Or he is petulant little child and needs to grow up. :thumbsu:

As for Hardwick he needs to go as well, his gameplan has failed and the people we currently have at the club cannot execute it, so he has stuffed up too and needs to go.

Take Jack with him, sick and tired or seeing Richmond players chuck the sads and bring the rest of the team down with them, see ya later I dont care how good you can be if this is how your going to react when things dont go your way you can go and get ******.

Richmond gives me the shits.

Watch the press conference, he admits to making a few minor changes to the game plan. Which is true he has only made a few minor changes, one of which was setting us up more defensively. However the results of making us a more defensive side has effected our ability to run and carry the ball, along with our shithouse fitness levels which mean we cannot do both without the other one suffering. As well as this, injuries to key players, a severe lack of confidence and not winning the same amount of contested ball as we did last year the game plan comes across as being completely different to last years. When really it is a very similar game plan (especially in an attacking sense), just being terribly executed.

The two major changes Dimma made in the off-season IMO were Martin to half back and Vickery at full forward. Both moves I considered to be plan B moves. So if Jack wasn't playing well, Vickery could be our next avenue to goal which in turn would mean less double and triple teaming of Jack. Likewise if Martin was struggling to get into a game, he could move to back flank where he could rack up cheap ball and break the game open with his foot skills. Not to different to a Ben Reid or Harry Taylor playing forward or back depending on where their team needs them. Though for this to work both had to be played there to prove that they were indeed capable of playing these position thus thats why they lined up there in pre-season and the first couple of weeks of the season. However because of our poor start to the season Martin went back to being a hybrid mid/forward and Jack went back to being the go to guy in the forward line and in doing so basically our pre season plans went out the window.

What i do know is most of Dimma's moves are rubbish. He won't be at the club next year while Jack will.

.
Great move.Get rid of the coach cause Jack is upset.Foundations of a super club for sure.
