He's a good honest toiler that gives you everything he's got which is certainly worthy of admiration, however recruiting a good fwd-ruck would likely see him out of the side though so can't see him as a viable captaincy option - particularly when Cripps, Walsh & Weiters have plenty of time left & would probably be the first three players picked.
