Not sure, but looking at some of the earlier posts in this thread you really have to wonder at some people. How old would he be, 14 or so?

I had a similar thought as I re-read the thread.

I wonder how many years off the boys are from being eligible for TAC cup selection. Jack must be only a couple of years away now you'd think.

He has just completed a season in the U15s so you would expect him to be at least 2 years away from playing TAC Cup & possibly 3 years from being eligible for the draft.

Off memory Jack is 14 in 2013 and Ben is 12. Jack was on crutches just before Xmas with ankle and Ben is definitely a smooth mover with the Silvagni gape.

Bwaaaahhh... cold shower time thinking about having all 3 of the Silvagni boys running around in the Old Dark Navy...

But honestly... if they are going to be as good as their dad was then they are automatic selections for us and we should commit to them a couple of years before they are eligible for the draft in a similar manner to how we committed to Dylan.

I think that the scouts and recruiting team members will be hitting their games as much as possible to track their development.

If they're up to it lock them
Give them all the access to our medicos, fitness, gym, training, get them into the best possible position we can

I'd love to have a "Joe Danniher" like smugness abround drafting period in a few years time when we get a top pick for chips*

**
Becaus Silvas will be a gun and we'll have just finsihed top of the ladder allowing us to scoop him up with pick 18 odd ;) Heres hoping

Would welcome his sons to the fold ... but I doubt many would be too welcoming to his father.
SOS' salary cap problems weren't deal-breakers for members when he was voted onto the board in 2002. I doubt they are now. Bradley was in exactly the same position, and no-one questions his presence about the place.

I don't think its the members he should be worried about.

There are lots of coeterie members and important figures "behind the scenes" at the club that have long memories and still have allegiences to Jack.

I doubt there's anyone who thinks SOS was responsible for Jack's problems. Even the Pratts walked away from the club when Jack was in charge.

I know for a fact that there are some senior Carltonian coterie members who dislike SOS (yet have no issue with Bradley), and blame him partly for what happened to us in 2002 (whether or not thats misguided anger is a seperate debare). They do not want him back at the club.

Then again, its not as if SOS would have any official capacity at the club - he'd merely be a supporter for his kids (from Blacktown).

 I thought only Labor had faceless men! ;) Whatever Mr Silvagni's role in under-the-table payments, the officialdom authorised such brown paper bag payments and were duly punished through a fine and draft penalties.

It takes 2 to tango and if you're going to single out SOS, be sure there were likely others that received irregular payments throughout Elliiott's regime that never got caught.

Who gives a **** what some "senior Carltonian coterie members" think? I don't - and I very much doubt Mick Malthouse and Wayne Hughes care much about them either.

Sons of SOS will be welcomed with open arms by all if they are AFL standard. That's the only issue. Don't create drama where there is none.

Exactly. If this is seriously what our club is about, disowning club legends because some coterie members have a bee in their bonnet, then it can get ****ed. Sound like a pack of self important toffs if true.
